Its a strange looking collar but has been worth its weight in gold for me. I walj my dogs off leash around the farm and stuff comes up. My hound just cant help himself when he sees another being so i am hff appy for the leash when getting him to come vack home. Another can be aggressive to certain dogs so i can grab the leash in a flash but can mostly let her walk off leash. The leash is longer than other similar collars I've used which is great. Ive used them for several months now. One has a small tear in it and one is slower to recurl but overall i love these collars and will reorder

We love having this leash collar. We like walking our dog off-leash, but offers the flexibility of being able to quickly grab the retractable built in leash if necessary. This is the everyday collar for our dog. We just ordered our second one, as the retracting mechanism failed after about 3 years. I think that's a decent lifetime for a product like this being used every day - we happily bought another one. 4 stars because the metal loop that can be used for tags or connecting to another leash broken after about a year.

This leash has made daily hiking so easy with our German Shorthair who is a working dog (55-64 lbs) and needs to follow his nose to be satisfied with an outing. We are primarily off leash but when we encounter a person or another dog can easily grab the leash during these brief exchanges. Our dog pulls when he initially starts off on a walk and has needed to be leashed and we have not had problems with that. It lengthens and then you can simply let go and it retracts. I don’t think I would use for a hefty dog that continually pulls on the leash as I don’t believe designed for that situation. We’re on our 3rd leash. We had the first one for almost 3 years and the second one didn’t last the year. I contacted the company and they immediately responded. I filed on their website warranty ( 2 years) and had the replacement within 3-4 days. Excellent customer service! Pic may not be the best …. If not on the move hunting, he loves sleeping!

I'm 2 days past the return window and the leash cord just broke! I get that it's light weight and maybe it's not an appropriate product for a 60lbs dog, but then it shouldn't be sold in large sizes!

Bought two, one broke on the first use at the beach. The other one has held up nicely and is great for running with my dog. A little bulky for smaller dogs. Customer service was good with a swift replacement.

Looks a little bulky on my 30 lb terrier but she doesn't seem to mind it. Retractable leash works great, very convenient and easy to grab the handle when needed.

This is truly one of those simple, genius products that make you think, “why didn’t I come up with that?” It is perfect for hiking or the dog park or when your dog will mostly be off-leash and you still want the ability to leash them for a little bit- like through a parking lot or if there’s another dog coming. It’s durable and feels pretty strong, although if you have a dog that is strong and pulls a lot , this really won’t be strong enough to pull them back. Our dog is around 35 lbs and I got a medium and it fits well but it’s the tightest it can be. The only thing I don’t like about it (and why I deducted one star) is that the retractable leash gets caught inside the collar close to every time and it takes a little bit of wiggling to get it out. I would still highly recommend this, there is really nothing else like it on the market. **Update** After a year, the leash completely snapped/ came undone from inside the collar and cannot be fixed. This is an AMAZING concept, but unfortunately, the quality is not good and we won’t be repurchasing.

This is a game changer, I take my puppy mountain biking and this makes it so easy to get in and out if the trail safely

whilst the concept is great the application is not good, I used mine a couple of times then the lead would not retract. Also the lead is way to short i had to practically bend in half so my dog wouldn't choke whilst i held the lead, i do not recommend this product

I only wish the leash was longer. It's super convenient to walk the dog. Hold them for emergencies such as traffic or a bunny. Won't get the leash dirty or have to remove and put back on as much. Walking made easy!

This product is good for hiking or when you are in safe off leash areas and might just need to grab your dog quick to make someone else feel comfortable, or to walk by other dogs. What i do like is how light and simple it is to use. What I don't like is the retractable cord, I'd pay up for a ribbon retractable, which is safer. I'd be happy with a shorter length and a ribbon retractable, sort of like a traffic leash/traffic handle. Also if you have a very strong dog or a reactive dog, this is not for you. If your dog is smaller than 50lb, this is not for you. My dogs are 55/60Lb and the small size is big on them--not big enough to fall off, but not snug at all. They do have slim necks.
