Easy to use
Bought for a stocking stuffer. It's used more than expected. Great gift for all, it's easy to use.

Don't use it with screws
This was a bit awkward to use. I had difficulty getting a nail to it, then hammering that nail. Maybe because it was a small nail. I tried holding a screw with it. I was putting together a shelf. It had a wood base but no pre drilled screw holes. And since we had just moved, we had no idea where our drill bits were. Trying to screw a wood screw directly into wood is difficult. The screw wants to move around. So I used this to hold them, then used the electric screwdriver to screw them in. The screws got hot. And melted this item.

Very handy - saves your fingers
I had started a new shoemaking hobby, and almost gave up.When building a shoe, you have to nail about *70* nails into the bottom, glue it up, remove the nails and then *put them in again*!!! (And, of course - that's only for the left shoe...)After whacking my thumbs maybe 50 times - I bought the Safety Nailer (for finish nails). It took a little while to get used to it - but now, I can fly through all the nails (metal nails - not finger nails) - and as a bonus, they are evenly spaced, solidly placed and driven dead straight. While most people won't be driving as many nails as I'm doing, it is very much a worthwhile tool for your toolbox.(Hot tip: Turn a cardboard box upside down; stick your nails in the bottom of the box - and you can pick up the nails with the Safety Nailer without putting down your hammer.)

Works ok
It is easier to just hold the nail though.

My fingers thank you!!
Having grown older and with a pain disorder making my hands more useless and clumsy, I absolutely love both sizes of Safety Nailer.Without this I cannot hold small nails and am very fearful of hitting my thumb or index finger with the hammer because of the amplified pain I’ll receive. His works great! The larger one is also fantastic - especially for adding all those galvanized nails to hurricane brackets on the deck I’m building. “Would be nicer if the price came down a bit as they are a bit pricey” is what I thought right up until the first errant hammer strike that would’ve ruined my day happened. These babies saved me lots of pain. They also make nail placement more accurate once you get the hang of using them. I’ve found if I make a small indentation mark with something sharp & pointy (like a nail or center punch) to mark the exact nail location, then I can easily slide the nail into the indent when I have the safety nailer on and hammer it home. Perfectly placed (and pain free) every time!!One minor thing, I have big hands and while these fit, they are a bit snug. A larger size for larger hands would make these even better. But still they are one of the best construction gadgets I’ve ever bought!

Works!
Sometimes the smallest simplest tool does the most epic work. I'm clumsy and prone to whacking myself and this has been a finger saver!

Mail holder
Anything that keeps me from hitting my fingers from getting hit with a hammer works and this tool does it.
