The perfect coconut flakes, unsweetened, has a wonderful taste. Excellent price when you buy the case, store extra in your freezer. Update.....8/2013.........this is a great product for diabetics, not to mention the healthy coconut oil that still remains in this product. Easy Healthy Coconut Granola 2 cups coconut chips 1 cup nuts...cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pecans ¼ cup maple syrup ¼ cup honey ¼ cup coconut oil 1 tsp. vanilla 2 T. of chia seeds (great powerhouse little seed) or sub flax seed or leave these out. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt coconut oil, honey and maple syrup in a small saucepan until starting to bubble and simmer. Add vanilla when you remove from the heat. In a large bowl, mix the coconut chips and nuts and any optional ingredients if using. Pour honey/maple syrup/coconut oil mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well. The consistency will vary some depending on the honey, coconut chips, and coconut oil you use. If there is not enough of the honey mixture to lightly coat all of the ingredients, add slightly more melted coconut oil and honey in equal parts. Spread on a parchment paper lined baking dish. Bake for 15-20 until starting to brown. Remove and let cool, then crumble in to granola pieces. Store in an air tight jar

I love these coconut flakes. No bad ingredients great for low carbs. I toast them for a few minutes and they make a great crunchy snack.

Only requires a small amount of flakes compared to real coconut & seems VERY fresh months later. Stopping using fresh coconuts entirely because THEY get stale quickly. Cheaper to use & WAY more flavor than any of another half-dozen products I've tried.

These are great. They add an undertone of carmelization to your coconut milk or to your cake if you use these as a topping! I have bought them so many times!

I had originally bought a bag of coconut flakes by a famous company to make coconut milk. Meanwhile I bought a case of this Edward & Sons Trading Co Coconut Flakes. I ran out of the first package a couple weeks ago. Since then, I've make a quart of milk with these coconut flakes. What a difference. I couldn't stop snacking on the flakes while making the milk! The milk came out creamy and tasted of FRESH coconut. Another plus is that the coconut is organic. I highly recommend these Edward & Sons coconut flakes. I will be using them in recipes calling for shredded coconut as well as I'll just process the flakes in my food processer. Yep, these flakes are that good. Try them, I wager you will be happy with them. I will be stocking this brand from now on. Love these flakes.

I buy this brand of 25# COCONUT FLAKES a couple of times a year; i am always satisfied. However, upon opening my box, I was so surprised that it was immediately "not as described". I received this in a clear bag and not the usual Let's Do Organic Unsweetened Coconut Flakes, Food Service Size, 25 Pound Bag, 400 Ounce. This made me feel uncomfortable as if the product was in a big bin and had been packaged. There was no label to describe it, the weight, the nutrition or the words "organic". There are rules that have to be followed when products are organic. I don't feel confident about my purchase and I cannot send the item back. I would happily send it back since the clear plastic was never opened, however, it does not seem to be an option. 30 day returns at Amazon do not apply. I would like a refund in this case. During a time like COVID 19 it gives a customer more reassurance to see items in their original packaging as it was before when I purchased it.

This is a great product and the only reason I didn't give it a five is because I thought I had ordered something different. I thought I would be getting something more like coconut chips, while these are flakes (as described by brand title). They aren't as crunchy but still good. I also got a lot more than I thought I would, like double. So now plan on making lots of different things rather than just eating them as a snack. Can make coconut almond butter. YUM!
