Sharp SMC1441CB - Sharp Carousel Microwave - 1.4 Cubic Feet 1000w, Black

This was supposed to be a perfect replacement for the one we had, and was advertised as fitting a 9 x 12 pan, but it is too small for that. Otherwise we love it - it is quiet, quick, and works as advertised. We cook everything in our microwave, so the week we were without was a very long week (after our old one blew a fuse or something and before the new one arrived). It works perfectly.

I previously owned this product before, it lasted for 11 years, so I decided to purchase it again from the same maker, but it was a little bit larger than the last one, but it works the same.

Like: convenient controls and cooking presets. Dislike: flimsy door hinge construction.

I've only had this a little over a year and last night it would not stop running when the cook time was up. I disconnected the power to it to reset it. When I turned the power to it back on, it continued to run. I disconnected the power again, opened the door and smoke came billowing out. The bowl inside had broken and the food was burnt. Don't buy this unit!

NEEDS MORE POWER (1100 W BETTER)

The microwave was ok to use but after 18 months of daily household use just up and died! Poor reliability, we will not purchase a “sharp” again.

Just recently purchased this microwave. upon using it for the first time it made a loud running noise so I called customer support excepting a hassle. Boy was I surprised with the service I was given. They were sorry for the inconvenience and said that a replacement unit would be sent out and it would probably that 4-5 days . I received the unit in two days time being delivered on a Sunday, As for the noisy unit ,I was told it is mine to do with it as I wished. Did not have to send it back. The new unit is much quieter and run good. Great customer service !!!!
