Studio 24 Cuban Style Mop

I ordered large micro fiber towels and cut slits in the middle. I slide it over the handle get it wet with hot water wring it a bit and then mop over the floor daily. If I don’t have time to vacuum first it is amazing the crumbs it picks up. I then throw the towel in my washer and never have wet mops to store.

I think Cuban mops are great, but this particular one is a piece of junk.The handle and base are threaded, so they are meant to be screwed together. However, on the product I received, the threading was poorly made and the two pieces simply do not screw together. So just one thing renders this product almost completely useless. I still tried to mop with it by putting extra pressure on the handle so that the pieces would stay connected, but any time I lifted it up to change positions, the base would drop out. I also got a splinter from the poorly sanded handle. The top of the handle had a plastic cap with a hole in it, presumably so you could hang it on a wall, but it arrived cracked and just fell off. Another cheaply made product with no quality control. Put your money towards something better.

The pieces do not fit securely, cheap wood has cracks, and pricey. This is nothing like the quality of the "cheaper" Cuban mops that can be found in south Florida. The mop head won't stay on the the mop pole without having to apply some heavy-duty wood glue. Even with this minor fix, the mop does not feel very solid. A small kid could break this mop into several pieces.

It turns out that this design works much better because you can just rinse the towel off, or get a fresh one, then lay them out to dry or throw them into the wash.My floors have never been cleaned so easily, even with my floormate.The only drawback is that the mop won’t last long because that joint is gonna wear out.

Love this Cuban mop. Works great heavy duty. For just about anything. In my opinion this is better then most mops.

Do not waste your money on this mop. I've used Cuban mops my whole life. My dad made them for us. I needed a new one, so took a chance on buying this. It was so cheaply made and cracked in three places by the time I got it. I couldn't even screw in the mop part, it just slipped off. I was so disappointed!! I've returned it and will make a trip to Lowe's to buy what I need to make a good one.
