Great sound, fits with space to spare, satisfied
This thing is awesome once you get it working, I'm a first time installer and had to tinker for about a week to get everything working. It's great size that fits in the back of my jeep renegade long ways so the speaker is facing towards the passenger side and fits perfectly. The sound and output are incredible and more than meet my deep bass sound wishes... It's not gonna rattle windows but other cars will hear you in parking lots and people will hear you in quiet neighborhoods. If you're looking for an easy install and something that will scratch your bass itch but not rattle your car to pieces and will fit into your small SUV or car or truck with space to spare then this is absolutely what you're looking for. Satisfied 40 year old here.

Sounds great and durable.
I bought this one year ago for an Obs Ford I was putting back together and didn’t want to spend a lot on a system. The sub still functions just like it did out of the package and the quality of sound it produces surpasses my expectations. Very reasonable price. Lots of play time driving this truck around including Cruising the Coast and no issues. I have had other powered subs and they wouldn’t fit behind the seat of my truck and they didn’t perform as well either. Highly recommend Rockville products. Thanks.

It’s perfect.
I love this sub. I have it set up for downward fire in my 2005 Silverado. Hard to explain but it’s not a perfect fit only if I have it downward fire. In the position under the back seat of my extended cab. Let it break in and you’ll be so happy. Sounds perfect and I have installed so many speakers in my life. For the price! Sounds high dollar. This will not break windows but you will fill it in your back and bottom. Not sure how it would be in a trunk but for a suv, truck, hatch back, station wagon- you’ll be set. This is the 10 inch im talking about. This sounds best for rock, country, everything but rap. But yes this does sound good for rap as well though you should look at a 12 for rap. Very happy with no issues at all. Just take it easy on it till it breaks in.

Good sound BUT amp gets hot and trips thermal breaker constantly **SOLVED**
***SEE UPDATES FURTHER DOWN REGARDING THE FIX FOR THERMAL BREAKER ISSUE***This sub sounds good for the money, it's not quite my JL system in one of my other cars but it's pretty darn close. I bought this after I helped install one in my buddy pathfinder and was impressed with its sound quality.Unfortunately both his and mine are having an issue where they are tripping an internal thermal breaker on the amp because the amp gets too hot. There is no cooling on the amp board as it's internal to the sealed box and there are no heat sinks on the outside to shed the heat. It's unfortunate because otherwise, this sub is excellent. I don't think sending it back for a replacement would make a difference because it's obviously a design issue with how they laid out the board and the lack of cooling.I might try adding some surface mount heat sinks to the outside face of the amp board to see if that'll help.1st UPDATE - 10.17.2022:I solved the overheating issue super easily.First I inspected the situation, I took the amp out of the box and was surprised to see that the amp is in its own compartment, meaning they sealed the sub enclosure internally between the electronics and the woofer. This means the amp side of the box can easily be vented, I drilled (3) 3/4" holes at the top and bottom of the box.The heat generated from the amp creates a natural convection that draws cooler air in the bottom and exhausts the hot air out the top. Since I've done this it hasn't overheated once. Now if you wanted to go one step further it wouldn't be hard to add a computer case fan to the intake or exhaust hole to power vent the space. Not sure why Rockville didn't provide venting for this side of the box, it seems like an oversight. The amp has two MASSIVE heat sinks on it but all that does is heat up the space inside the box as its not vented so the heat can't escape. Drilled the holes and Voila.I've added a star to my review as they should've vented it from the factory but it's an easy fix and the sub still sounds great.2nd UPDATE - 8.8.2023:Since venting the amplifier side of the box I have not had a single case where it tripped its thermal breaker/protection mode. So safe to say it's fixed, if you buy this sub you really ought to do this mod.

A true bargin for what you get.
I saw this box while looking for a sub set up for my Tahoe and figured I would give it a look, it looked good on paper at least with 1000 watts and a 10 inch driver. When I got it at first look it is really nicely done. Great colors and the carpet covering is flawless. The drive is stupid stiff, rea;;y needs time to break in with low to medium low music for a couple week increasing as time passes. After the 2 week or so break in period this rig puts off some real low bass. This is not an Alpine Type - R but this is lees then most subs and you get a solid box. Amp is 300 RMS which is plenty for this set up. Run 4 Gauge OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) to power this amp. All in all for the sub $100 is takes for this to be yours it is well worth the spend if you goal is for moderate bass and a full sounding system complete with good lows.
