Not bad just average
Bought the 6.5 inch vg 10 chef knife. The balance of it is very weight in the back giving you a very odd hand feel. Think holding a hammer upside down. Out of the box the sharpness was disappointing for my standards. It cut through paper just fine but would not take even a single hair off my arm. Overall the looks of the knife is nice. It's not by any means outstanding but to a home chef one would think it looked pretty but pales in comparison to my Yaxell gyuto. As a knife for a new chef or cook it's awkward to use with its weight but manageable due to its small size it has an impressive look to it and is functionally sharp but not razer sharp. I would recommend this knife to someone who cares about the looks of a knife over the feel but what's the point in a knife that just looks good? An important note to those who care this knife is well suited to those who cut with a rocking motion but if you're a tap cutter this knife will annoy you. 3/5 or a 5/10 it's very very average. A Mercer or vixtorianox will suit a knew chef better but will be appreciated by those who love a nice looking knife.

Gorgeous knife ... mixed verdict on quality.
I had to return one, came with a cracked blade. Been using this knife a lot, since they were on sale for $40ish. Too soon to tell about overall quality.

Very sharp and good for my daily cooking
The media could not be loaded. I have an 8 inch Damascus chef knife already but I wanted a smaller knife just for the daily task as I felt like my 8 inch blade was too long for my liking. I really like the grip of this knife as it is very comfortable. The steel used it top of the line Damascus which I very much appreciate, the blade itself is extremely sharp and cuts through anything without struggle. I made some Tuna sashimi with this knife and it cut the Tuna with ease, also the the knife passed the infamous paper cut test with flying colors. The overall knife is isn't light or heavy which is great for me as it is very balance especially right on the bolster.

Great knife at this price point
I bought this as a gift for a friend. But I have used it at his house and find it very comfortable and appears to hold an edge very well. I could actually say its almost as good as my Japanese knife that cost over twice as much. So for the money its a good value.

Good sharp knife
Hard blade that keeps an edge and light to use. A good mid size knife.

My favorite, daily-use, indispensable chef knife
I moved to a new home last year with a really nice kitchen, so I wanted to spoil myself with a good chef's knife. I'm a good home cook, but I only had second-rate knives before. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but on the other hand I wanted a quality knife that would last. The Damascus steel made the knife pretty enough I thought I'd like it even as decoration on my shelf.I immediately loved this knife once I got it in my hand. I chose the 8 inch size, and find it wonderfully balanced. It fits so comfortably in my hand that it feels good when I shift my grip to chop different foods. I have chopped vegetables with it for hours on end without my hand cramping up or feeling tired. The full tang felt great, and the grip is strong enough I can cut through a tough vegetables or cube stewing meat with confidence. The handle is shaped and textured for a great non-slip feel. The blade is razor sharp and has held up for months. I have used my Keemake almost daily and it has held an edge exceptionally well. The steel is amazing and I love how how food falls back from the face of the blade when it hits the dimpled pattern at the top.My Keemake knife has become my favorite tool in the kitchen that I use every day. I could not be happier with it.
