This is a Perfect shape sorter for little ones who are first learning to sort shapes and distinguish colors especially for children around the age of one.This is a pull along toy comes with a block-sorting body that spins on the turtle's back when pulled which is super cool atleast for the lil ones.It has five different shaped holes triangular, circular, square, star shape and oval and this little toy helps your kid coordination skills and concentration along with logical thinking. On the packaging it is mentioned that hape finishes are all non-toxic, child safe which is great as you don't have to worry when baby keep any shapes or turtle itself in mouth. Great toy but lil expensive in my opinion but well build and of good quality.

Both of my sons loved this toy so we purchased it as a holiday gift for our niece. Reinforces shapes and spatial skills while also promoting walking when they pull the turtle around by the string. Makes a loud sound when the turtle shell rolls with all of the shapes inside. Doesn't bother us, but might bother some sensitive to noise.(Can also roll without shapes inside and still makes somenoise but not as much). Got this when our younger son turned one and our then 5 yr old loved it and played with it with him.

Baby loves playing with it. Def a toy that will grow with her. She liked the noise it makes when spinning and now that she’s older she can sort the shapes. Waiting for her to be able to pull it and walk with it. The string did fray as soon as we got it. Have to replace that somehow.

I love this product. It is colorful and entertaining. Surely well made. However, I would not recommend to leave the shape blocks in if your child is around the age of one and, most likely, still put things in the mouth. They are too small and my son almost put the yellow one in his mouth with no problem.

It's annoying how the wheel part comes off the turtle body if you don't pull it just right, which my little one does not. He quickly gets frustrated with the pulling part of the toy and quits. He does love the shape sorter and I like that it's wood and not plastic. Hopefully we can get more mileage out of this toy as he ages.

This is our first Hape toy purchase for our first grandchild. After seeing a youtube video of a mom's favorite toys for her 10 month old, we followed her recommendation to purchase this. We are very pleased and impressed with the solid quality and workmanship of this toy. How nice to have a few long lasting toys not made of plastic! The click clack sound when pulled captured our grandson's attention immediately. Would not hesitate to give this as a gift to any new parent.

This toy was a gift for my great-nephew's first birthday. It was a big hit!! It's durable and well made. He loved pulling it on the string as well as taking the wheel off the turtle's back and rolling it on the floor. The wheel sits on top of the back and wheels and it turned by the wheels. It's made of wood, so the puzzle pieces rattle inside the wheel when turned...to the delight of all the children at the party.

This is a great versatile toy! It is well made & interesting to my 9 month old. I see her enjoying it for a while. I like that it is a pull toy & shape sorter. Right now she likes to shake the sorter around or push it on the floor. She also pulls the turtle part by the string & head. It's great for working on her fine motor skills. I bought a 2nd as a baby gift.
