Great but leaves skid marks
This is my new favourite putty knife. Great size, exactly as I needed. It has some flex so it applied spackling much nicer than a rigid metal putty knife. However it leaves skid marks if enough pressure is applied, which might not be a big deal if you want to paint over, but might be a deal when you did not plan to paint over and you have to. It is also easy to dent the material, so be careful not to scratch the blade. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase, and will potentially repurchase in the future. This won't last you a lifetime as metal putty knives do, but it does the job and the price is unbeatable.

Useful for Deep Cleaning a Weber Kettle Grill
I didn't buy this putty knife for "spreading tar, adhesive, roof caulking, wood putty or other difficult to clean materials". Rather, I bought it because I had seen recommendations to use a plastic or metal putty knife when deep cleaning a Weber kettle grill. This plastic putty knife was exactly what I needed. The edge was sharp enough to scrape off all the creosote, ash, and other gunk from the inner surfaces of the kettle lid and the kettle. It also was soft enough to avoid scraping and damaging the enameled surfaces. The metal putty knife I had also ordered seemed like it was going to scratch the enameled surfaces, and so I stuck with this plastic putty knife for the entire job. Depending on how dirty your kettle is, it will take a decent amount of elbow grease and time to scrape everything away. Once you do though, you will realize it is really worth the effort and time.

Works for spackling
Used for spackling. It worked fine for application when patching small holes. The spackling quickly dried to the putty knife after use and is difficult to remove. The label is also very difficult to remove. I have no idea on the durability for long time use, but there is no evidence of cracking or warping after initial use. The product description in late May 2019 of a black plastic putty knife matched what I received.

A Lightweight and Affordable Tool with Some Limitations
Pros:Flexible and Durable: The plastic material used to make these putty knives is flexible yet durable, making it ideal for applying and smoothing out putty, glue, and other materials without breaking or cracking.Lightweight: The lightweight design of these putty knives makes them easy to handle and use for extended periods, which is great for large projects.Easy to Clean: The smooth surface of the plastic material is easy to clean and maintain, which means you can reuse the same tool multiple times.Affordable: Compared to other types of putty knives, plastic flex putty knives are relatively affordable, making them an excellent choice for those on a budget.Cons:Limited Strength: Although plastic flex putty knives are flexible, they are not as strong as metal putty knives and can be prone to bending or breaking if used on hard or dense materials.Limited Precision: The flexibility of these putty knives can make it challenging to achieve precise angles and corners. Not Suitable for High Temperatures: These putty knives are not suitable for use in high-temperature environments as they may melt or deform, which limits their functionality for certain applications.

Good for gun stocks
Used this to strip 2 old gun stocks. I like this because it is sturdy and strong yet doesn't mar the wood underneath. Now, I did use stripper and eventually the end of this got gnarly and wore out but, that's ok and is to be expected. I will get more for my next project.

works great
disposable but has not broken yet

Edge nicks easily. ID sticker pain to remove.
The puttying edge nicks too easily.Manufacturer's item ID sticker on the putty knife was thin and papery, while the adhesive was plenty gummy, so it took a few minutes to get the sticker fully removed. In my opininion the Red Devil units are better.

Good Spackling Tool
You can't go wrong with this spackling knife. It didn't break when I used it to apply the spackling compound and the price was excellent. It is made of a plastic that is rigid and sturdy so unless you exert too much pressure on it, it will continue to do the job it was intended to do. I will continue to use it for all my spackling projects. Quick delivery of this and other items was most appreciated. Thank you.
