As described and good quality. Use it to cover the top layer of soil for my plants to prevent gnat infestations.

I discovered these for my aquarium and found that once rinsed they actual do help the minerals in the water and ph level naturally.

Rinse, rinse, rinse is a must!!!

This gravel worked great I put some of this in my canister filter and it kept the PH right where I wanted it to be.

This item is beautiful in a fish tank. I would have given five stars if they would pre rinse it before bagging. As other reviews stated there is a lot of rinsing that needs to be done before putting it in the tank. After running the filter 24 hours it did clear up. To rinse I used my wife's large strainer from the kitchen and mywater hose.

Great product if you want a sand that won't blow around...the large grains stay put and not in your pump. Does need to be rinsed throughly but that not a negative.
