Chroma Cables: Audio Optimized USB-A to USB-B Cable (Blue)

I’m a starting out Voice Actor. I had a slight hiss in my audio setup (Focusrite Scarlett hooked to an old, old Macbook Pro). I took a guess that the supplied USB was getting interference, and decided to buy the Chroma Cable. It absolutely cleaned the hiss up. My recordings sound so much cleaner.The cable is well built and I love that they come in multiple colors. I got red to match my Scarlett, but if I ever go to a PreSonus interface, I’ll be ordering a blue one along with it.

So I've had marginal success with using USB 2.0 cables advertised and built for printer connectivity. However, after a firmware upgrade on my Sony TAZH1ES headphone amp, I started having audio playback freezes when playing high bit-rate lossless content from my PC. So I decided to go with these audio-specific USB 2.0 cables. Wow! Didn't realize what I had been missing. Not only did they address the freeze problem. I can actually hear a difference in the audio quality. And I have not had a single interruption between computer and amp since using this cable. So if you are an audiophile like me that pushes a lot of high bit-rate audio streams, you will definitely see an improvement over standard USB 2.0 "print" cables.

Bought this cable hoping it would fix signal dropout issues I was having with Serato DJ Pro. The cable did not fix the issue but overall it seems to be a well built cable. Overall, I think its only marginally better than a regular cable and can't justify its price.

Having a hope on this cable to remove the static noise transmitting from the fans, motherboard, and HDD on the computer but it is no avail sadly. It was connected to Roland Quad-Capture audio interface, powered by USB from PC, feeding to SMSL SP200 headphone amplifier. When the volume knob is turned between 9:30 and 10, I could hear the hissing and irregular static noise from the headphone regardless of the choice on high or low gain on the amplifier. I did troubleshooting to remove and the last resort was to purchase this cable. I am returning now after writing this review.

i have a quite noisy room in terms of interference from many wireless devices and other things that would some times cause my microphone to have some static and pops, after changing from a triplite cable with ferrite cores to this cable my audio cleared up a bunch, noticeable difference going from a cheap cable to this, but only if you have alot of interference or have a house with old wiring, other wise id say the triplite cable would be fine for normal user but if you want the best go with this cable you wont have any issues,

Ok, I was very skeptical about this cable. I had been looking for a better quality USB cable than the Amazon ones and Belkin that I have been using to do my live performance recordings. No matter what cable I used, I would have 1 drop out minimum per show. I ran across this and I thought to myself that "What the hell, might as well try it." You know what, after several shows now, NOT ONE ISSUE!!! It worked. I am amazed, and I need to pick up a few more!

Bought this as troubleshooting for my speakers having pops, static, and what generally seems like power surges when connected to my USB DAC. While not completely solving my issue, it definitely helped. That and it fits snug into the DAC, so solid 4-stars there. Once I can confirm that my motherboard is just under-powered, I'll bump this up to 5* :)

The price is a bit much for what it is - I don't believe the whole thing of "better cables make better signal" as far as digital signals go when kept below 3-4 meters, but it works properly!Using this for a desktop AMP/DAC so I wanted a "line out" color to keep track of my USB cables, and this was about the easiest I could find without it taking 2 months from China.

Cool colors available, helpful in the dark and for cable identification. Build quality is nothing special. More on aesthetics. A little pricey for a USB cable.
