Different type of connector than our wand requires but it still works great!
I purchased these as a replacement for the feathers that came with a wand that we purchased years ago. I should have checked the photos more carefully as the fittings on the end do not go with the wand that we have. These have a ring and our wand requires a ball chain type of connector instead (like this: 3 Foot Length Ball Chains, #6 Size, White Coated, with Matching Connectors (3 Pack) ). However, we were able to make these work. We just slide the ring into the groove in the ball connector and it snaps on tightly - and stays no matter how rough Edwin gets! So, if you have a different styled wand, these can be made to fit.I like the variety of feather toys very much. They range from soft to quite rigid and come in a range of colors. There is also a tail-like toy included. The photo that shows the 6 pieces accurately reflects what we received. We initially started out using the tail which Edwin enjoyed but he got bored with it after ten or fifteen minutes. So, we allowed him to choose which one we used. He chose the rigid gray and white feathered one and has been playing with it for several days now. It is proving to be quite durable! He enjoys it so much, in fact, that he is now getting the pole out of his toy box (first time he has brought me a toy) to let me know he wants to play another round, So... 5 stars for the replacement pack!

Super cat toy! It got EVERYBODYmoving!
Hi Holly, Please excuse the delay in my response, but I wanted, or rather my furry children wanted to try out the “birds” for a few days before I responded. First, I wanted to thank you for your real concern for our feline children and companions as you followed up with this email and wonderful “A Cat’s Tale” PDF attachment. I downloaded it for future reference. Secondly, I’m saving your email for future reference as you will be my new first place to shop when I need cat toys. Thirdly, the feedback. I chose the red and yellow feather toy to use first. Wow, I believe that cats do see in color, and I had to swap out this initial toy, as my overweight 8 year old tabby and my new somewhere-in-her-life-was-mistreated tabby nearly destroyed it. It was their first time interacting together! What a hit, not only for playing with the toy, but a big step for the new cat (only 5 years old and lived under my spare bed for 3 weeks) and her confidence level. I understand that these feathers are not indestructible, but it really held up well. The red ones held up better than the yellow, which got limp with cat-spit and kind of “went away.” Love that one! It will be the “dessert” of the feathers, brought out on special occasions. The one that I’m on right now is the cluster of brown feathers, and I can’t bring myself to change it out. I don’t know why it’s so special, but it even got my 14 year old Burmese, who thinks that he’s far too dignified to bother with such silly immature things as chasing feathers, especially in the presence of horrible, disgusting “new” cat, who he detests. I had to limit play because just because he wants to keep playing doesn’t mean he should. He just got his aspirin and glucosamine last night, so he’s feeling pretty frisky, but I don’t want him to be sore. My 8 year old “rubenesque” tabby I have to be careful with, as she would play until she had heart failure. I’ll have to work with her on increasing the time slowly, like a person. I’m looking forward to engaging play with hopefully, all three of the cats at one time. With the help of “BIRD,” (I use the same name for the same items, and found cats to have phenomenal vocabularies), I had all three cats, including the male Burmese who hates everybody, within a square yard of one another! I suppose it’s hard to be a jerk when you’re having fun, lol. Thank you so much, and thank you for asking for my opinion. I hope it helps. Oh, and the brown feathers look absolutely untouched…indestructible. Sincerely, Nancy M.

Feathers for Cats who love Fishing rod Toys.
My cat has 4 paws but I’m boosting his review with my four paws and in kitty math that’s 5 stars. These feathers are great. He enjoys the squirrel tail the most. He is an addict when it comes to fishing style toys. I need to replace his feathers regularly and these hold up well. He tears up store bought fishing toys within minutes of purchase usually and these last weeks per toy.To store, I put these between my cookbooks in my kitchen, and one morning I got up and all the books were on the floor and bits of feather were all over. He had found the package and pulled the feathers out and went to town on them. They were all still fine (with a few bits missing from each) and now I keep them in a drawer, but my cat Chippy LOVES these. In several months I will probably get these again. Now, I have a 22 minute routine I do with my cat, and then I hook them into the rungs of a chair which allows him to play with it throughout the day. I have another one suspended from a hook with a hair band in the middle for spring action.I think my cat prefers the fishing rod version because he can eventually tear it free or growl until I let him drag it off and chew on it in a corner until he abandons it to let me reset it again. It is really fun to watch him play, he jumps super high and runs all over the house and attacks it. I was at my wits end before I found these toys on Amazon.

The magic of feathers!
We have a feral kitty that we've been trying to socialize for a year now, and we call him our triple-F (formerly feral feline). He loves to play with feathers on a "fishing pole" (one of the wands; I forget what company), going so far as to chirrup and circle in the living room after my husband and I finish dinner. Our feral gets tired of a particular feather after awhile, so we switch it up with this collection every couple of days by laying out the vast collection of feather refills and letting him choose his new toy. My husband is already telling me to buy another set because now our older cats are starting to play again. The magic of feathers! You can't beat the price on these refills, and the quality is top notch. Also, in this pack, you get a rattle mouse... our cats go bonkers for that! Thanks for putting out a great product!!!
