Great fountain pen and excellent value for the money
I wanted a pen to use at work that both worked well and was relatively inexpensive. Already having a Parker P51 and a Hero 100, the Wing Sung 601A seemed like a good choice. The pen is much like a Parker P51 on the outside, and even has the Parker arrow clip. It differs from the P51 and clones in that it has a conical nib, much like the vintage Shaeffer pens. Cool! The filling mechanism is really interesting, and consists of a piston connected to a spring loaded metal rod. Unscrewing the blind cap reveals the metal rod (the blind cap is a screw-on cap on the end of the pen barrel). Press and release the spring-loaded metal rod a several times and the pen fills with ink. The barrel of the pen has a ring of clear windows that show how much ink is in the pen. Very handy for verifying the pen is filled, and also to tell when it is getting low on ink. Then just screw the blind cap back on. Super quick and easy! I use Noodler's Black ink, which works great in the 601A. That the ink is both waterproof and fade resistant is an added plus. The Wing Sung 601A holds a lot of ink. The stainless steel nib was rather scratchy at first, which was disappointing. Writing a little with it over the next two weeks, the scratchiness disappeared and the nib is now quite smooth. Hmmm... I guess this pen needs a short break-in period. It is no biggie, just something to note. The nib is not flexible at all. That will be a turnoff for some folks, but I like the nib very much just the way it is. I just want it to write, and don't worry about stuff like shading, line variation, sheen, etc. That is what dip pens are for. On very smooth paper, such as that found in Japanese notebooks, the 601A writes with an Extra Fine line. Writing on very ink absorbent Staples printer paper, the line is wider, like a Fine nib rather than an EF. The only downside is that if the pen has not been used for several days, it can be a little hard to get the ink flow started. Other than that, the pen works very well indeed. Man, I just love writing with this pen! Five stars! The pen balances nicely in the hand, just like its Parker P51 ancestor, and its construction quality is very good. If you want more information, I recommend watching the Wing Sung 601A Fountain Pen Review video by chrisrap52 on YouTube. My pen was purchased from czxwyst, cost $19.98, with the order fulfilled by Amazon. You can get this pen for around $14 on AliExpress, but it takes a month or so to arrive. My order took about five days to arrive via USPS, and was delivered in one piece. That alone was worth the extra $6. Edit: I just wanted to add that this is a real review. I purchased the pen with my own money, and was not asked by anyone or compensated in any way for this review.

Nice writer, but burps ink
I bought this fountain pen because I liked its appearance, and the price was low enough so that if the pen wasn't good, it would not be a big loss. Good points: nice appearance, writes well, the nib is fairly smooth for a fine, with some hint of feedback that I like. The pen is well balanced whether posted or not, and the filling mechanism is good. Negatives: the only one I have is in the title - this pen "burps" ink. After using it for several minutes, suddenly a blob of ink dripped from the nib onto the paper. I have had this happen twice, and since that can ruin a document, it is an issue.

Next best thing to a Wing Sung 601
My most reliable go-to pen is a Wing Sung 601. This 601-A is similar in many respects but not quite as nice. The Triumph style nib writes a little dry but the feedback is great. I could make this one a little wetter but why bother with the other one available. Good quality and very comfortable. Holds a lot of ink. I've purchased from this seller before and delivery is always quick and reliable.

Awesome pen & great price
I love this new Wing Sung 601A pen style. It's simple, yet elegant and functional, plus the price is great. The ink window is a great thing since it allows you to always know how much ink is left in the pen. The large reservoire for ink will allow you to write for months without refilling. Since the nib is on the outside, when you draw ink into the pen, the nib often gets dirty quick, nothing but a quick wipe would solve this problem. However, the ink that I use tends to stick like crazy to the front of the nib and it takes many wipes to make it polished and shine again. If you use a really dark and deep ink, then the 601 series pen would be a better fit for you sine you won't have to go through the trouble of cleaning the front of the nib. All in all, it's a very good pen to use and works right out of the box. It was scratchy at first but as you write a bit more with it, everything is fine and smooth. The pen does have a bit of a break in period where you will need to find the sweet spot to make your writing smooth. I highly recommended this pen and the seller czxwyst. I have very good experience with this pen and its quality. I am going to use it for quite some time.

Awful pen
I really wanted to like this pen, it was cheap and I wanted to try out the world of Chinese pens. Welp, not gonna happen after this. The tines were so tight barely any ink would come out when writing, I had to press down repeatedly to open the tines up. It kind of worked but the nib was extremely finicky after that, would not recommend at all. Just buy a pilot in the same price range

Surprisingly good and reliable.
This pen writes with a very fine line, and I have had no issues with drying out or hard starts. It is a convenient pen to carry around because it is light weight, the cap just pulls off, and the nib is reliable. It is also very easy to fill.

Everything is great, except the way it writes.
There is a lot to like about this pen. The vacuum filling system and ink capacity is impressive and the pen is a good value for the price. My only disappointment is the nib, which for me writes like a broad "felt tip" pen. I'm a huge fan of conical "Sheaffer Triumph" nibs, and appreciate Wing Sung creating a modern equivalent; however the pen writes somewhere between and medium and a broad when writing normally, and a medium with the nib inverted. Perhaps I have a pen with an overgenerous ink flow since I often also notice a bit of ink in the cap, and grip section, which stains your fingers if you are not diligent. If you don't mind a wider line and occasional inky fingers, then this pens could be for you!

It is a good pen I had seen 20 years back in India, and the search ended in my collection. As you keep using it regularly, the nib will become smooth, and overall built is premium. Please use google lens for anyone who has a problem reading the user manual in the box provided. It will translate Chinese to your native language to know.
