First class product for the insulating my 2 RV AC plenums
Used on My 2 RV AC plenums...I just cut to size on all the different surfaces & then used foil tape to put if all together. It really made the efficiency of them in AC or Heat Pump operation better as well as making them quieter damping the tin.

Excellent Product
Used it to line my hot air furnace. Job came out better than original. One sheet covered everything. Price was awesome. I will keep this in mind for future projects.

Worked great
Used to convert an old metal cabinet into a hobby oven. Did a great job of insulating it, the outside of the cabinet is cool to the touch when 500F inside. Easy to cut with kitchen shears.

Almost burned down my apartment building
I got this as insulation material for a hardwood smoker. Set it up on the outside of my smoke box, set up my wood to smoke, and went to cook other things. Next thing I know, my neighbor from upstairs comes down to complain about the smoke. I look at the smoker, and the insulation material is on fire, like a wall of fire. I grab my fire extinguishers and put them out, but it was still a frightening experience. Don’t buy this if it will be anywhere near an open flame. It will burn your house down potentially.

I really like this product
I really like this product. I needed an insulation that provided heat resistance and was fire resistance to insulate the engine doghouse on my motorhome. I liked this insulation so much that I bought another roll. I used a high-temperature spray adhesive and the finished product looks great. I have not traveled in the motorhome since but I have a feeling that this is exactly what I needed.

Easy to install if you are careful !
We used the Thermo-Tec in our interior, under our RV's carpeting ( we replaced the shag rug with a smooth flexible product). We used a heat resistant spray contact cement to attach the Thermo-Tec to the floor and firewall around the driver and passenger area inside our older Class A RV. We kept the reflective foil on the padding for the fire wall installation, but tore off the silver foil backing for the areas on the floor. We were worried that it would trap moisture on the wood floor. I ordered two rolls of this product weeks apart. The foil pulled off pretty easily, but a bit of the padding fiber did come off with the foil. The last roll was a bit thicker than the first roll, but not enough to be a problem. After we glued down the Thermo-Tec, we sprayed it and the new carpeting with the contact cement and mated the two together. We made the pattern for the padding slightly smaller than the carpet so that it wouldn't show on the edges. It has definitely helped with the sound and heat and is a good thickness for under the carpet...not too thick and fluffy. It is easy to cut with a good pair of scissors. Pre-fit your piece before gluing it in place to avoid a lot of frustration.

It was easy to install with a light high temp spray on ...
Used this to replace old and disintegrating insulation inside my gas-pack heating and air conditioning unit. It was easy to install with a light high temp spray on adhesive and it does the trick! The outside of the cabinet doesn't feel the least bit warm while the gas burner is on. Air quality inside the house has improved as well.

Effective, but labor intensive
I tried this after using SoffSeal insulation in a similar vehicle. Thermo-tec was almost twice the price and was not any easier to work with. It's difficult to penetrate when mounting anything to the steel behind it. The drill bit grabs it and twists it up. The SoffSeal stuff is cheaper, slightly thicker, and no more of a pain. Both products were equally effective in sound deadening.
