Ludwig LAS22SS Atlas Standard Snare Stand,Black,Silver

This stand is very robust and fits all seated drummers well. It is sufficiently tall for standing players who are under 5'6" tall.I remove one star because Ludwig forgot that the simplest (hence proper) cradle has two fixed-length arms, and a third arm with an adjustable length. (See Ludwig's classic concert snare drum stands from the 1960s and 1970s). It is far simpler to avoid pinching lugs and the two ends of the snare screen with that older design.

Read a lot of good reviews, and expected this snare stand to be heavy, sturdy, and very articulated. I'm a new player and wanted something I could keep for life. So far it's everything I wanted!

I have a cheaper Ludwig snare stand that is more stable than this one. This one is very adjustable and feels like it is well made, but it just doesn't feel solid on the floor.

The ball joint basket adjustment is easy to use and puts the snare at any custom angle you desire. I have the DW 5000 stand too. This Ludwig stand is better designed and easier to use.
