This works great in the bathtub. It does require the other drain strainer be removed as the middle of this cover sets inside. It catches the hair and also looks nice. This particular design would not be the best for a shower with a center drain due to it having some raised areas.

Installation was super easy, just drop it in and go. It does take a little to drain the water while showering, but it does the job on catching the hair pretty well. It fit perfectly in my tub and the removal of hair is super easy.

I really love this drain trap, from the first time that opened the box. It was shiny and lush and would add a sort of richness and glamour to my bathtub. I just thought the appearance and quality was great! It's sort of like an art piece, rather than those plain ugly drain plugs, strainers, traps. Also, it does an awesome job at trapping the hair - it's either trapped around the flat outer edge or contained within the inside strainer. It's also really easy to remove the hair because the hair is usually in a cluster and you can easily remove it all at once. I also like the little metal clip that makes it easy to remove the strainer from the drain. It's also easy to clean and shines right up after washing it with some soap and water. Also, it doesn't have any suction or anything - it just rests within the tub drain, but it stays in place and it catches a lot of hair. The one thing that I don't like is that it gets moldy quickly beneath the the top part and rubber rim. I'm constantly cleaning my tub and drain, but it'll get mold after just a day, and I try to make sure that all of the water is down the drain and then replace the strainer so water isn't just sitting beneath it, but I think the only solution is to completely dry the drain area and the strainer, but that is not feasible. They should use a mold-repellant rubber or something - or maybe there is spray that can be used on bath products such as this to repel the mold for a longer time. Other than that, this is a great product and I definitely recommend.

This drain catch is doing a great job at not letting my roommates thin, long, straight hair clog our bathtub drain. It grabs something every time they shower and I’m so glad all that hair is not getting in the pipes. It’s a bit large and real shiny, so it’s very noticeable but I’ll take that over having to snake that drain any day. I tried a couple other styles of catches before finding this one, but those were somewhat blocking the drain and causing water to backup in the tub. This one doesn’t impede flow at all. Hopefully we’ll have this thing a long time but I’ll buy it again if it ever gives out.

My standard built in push down bathtub drain stopper broke. I was not in the mood to call a plumber and I never use it for a stopper as the use for this tub is shower only. So, I threw the stopper that came right out away and I purchased this and it was a perfect fit, stays in place and it looks good. All I wanted is a temporary fix until I remodel and replace the tub with a shower, but the quality of this drain strainer will last a long time.

This works so well! Fits my tub and doesn’t cause it to clog when running. Catches the hair, so far so good at least

Well made and does the job well

This is a game changer. I am the one (self-appointed) who cleans the shower traps, which are always badly designed so that hair and gunk conspire to be really difficult and unpleasant to remove. This well-made, thoughtfully designed trap separates gunk and hair. You wipe off the hair from it and the trap below is easier to clean. I am using it on a French shower, don’t know if uk traps are the same size. And you can see when it needs cleaning. It is also an attractive design and shines up well so far.

Excellent quality - the brushed brass matches the colour and tone of my other fixtures perfectly, it’s heavy enough that it doesn’t move around in the drain and is super secure, and it’s easy to clean. Plus, it gets the job done - very effective at catching loose hair strands that otherwise would block my drain. Doesn’t ruin the integrity of my beautiful bathroom like bulky plastic drain covers.
