C.R. Gibson Green and White Woodland Animal First Year Baby Memory Book for Newborns, 60 pgs, 9'' W x 11.13'' H

I looked for MONTHS to find a baby book I even wanted to try. My theme is owls and my colors were greens for the nursery. I know owls were popular a couple of years ago, but it is SO hard to find gender neutral owls right now. I have been on line on Carter's website, CR Gibson, and Amazon. I've even browsed through Hallmark stores and it's online store as well as Barnes & Noble. I settled on this one site unseen and was SO nervous about it. For the most part, the reviews on here were really good. The detailed ones are the ones that are most accurate and those were the ones that swayed me. Since my hubby and I are waiting (just a couple more months) for baby to be born, I went ahead and made this purchase. I am so glad I did. It doesn't have too much activity (things to fill out). It's super straight forward with really cute pages. The only thing I'm a little disappointed in is that I wish it would have had clear pockets or any pockets to put things in like hair, teeth or hospital bands. But, I knew that when I got it that it didn't have that. As it stands, you just shove things in between the pages or you could glue them on but for a gender neutral book, it's the best one I've seen. Not overwhelming like the ones I've looked at. I've started filling it out already and I am just so thrilled.

I Love this book it has spaces for pictures but also lots of detailed information for you to add. It has alot of pages but the book isnt bulky at all and has a lil boy and plastic for protection coverage. Pages include all about mommy, all about daddy, our family tree, family photos, Baby is due information about parents reaction, anticipation and preparations pace for sonogram, shower information and spaces for photos (2 sets of pages), my arrival for labour and delivery info, introduction of baby facts andspace for hospital bracelet, birth certificate, hand and footprints (this is cool cuz you can take the book with you to the hospital, birth anoucnement and newspaper announcement, homecoming, vsitor and giftsm adventures in parenting, the world around me, watch me grow, dr visits, immunizations, growth counts, first tooth and future tooth date logs, first month, second month, third month, fourth month, fifth month, six month, seventh all the way to twelfth month, baby firsts, giggles and grins, first vacations, travel photos, holidays and celerbations, baby favourites, first to fifth birthdays. As you can see there is lots of information space! I also bought the accompanying calendar that is in baby's room so that my husband and I can log firsts there and when I have more time go back an put them in the book. This is truly a great book and I it is very gender neutral. I have Carter's forest friends theme for my sons nursery room and this goes perfect with it

Very nice cover and binding. It's a step up from the one I got my daughter a few years ago as far as how it's made. I purchased hers from Walmart and it was the Carter's brand that they have. I purchased this one for my son after searching high and low for a baby book that had the monthly pages with space for a picture. This one does have them. My only complaing is that on these pages there is only one large space titled Memories and Milestones. My daughter's had a space for things like weight, length, sleeping patterns, accomplishments, etc. That may be a bit nit picky though, it really is a beautiful baby book with lots of nice pagea for recording memories.

Great baby book. Lots of places to add your own photos to it and good space for writing in the fun baby details. I like that it has space for things before the baby and then for tracking once he/she is here. I loved being able to write in information about our family, the baby showers and events of the time. That's going to be fun to look back on. Then there is space to add photos of these events, as well as photos for each month they get older for the first year, then it goes by year to 5 years old. The woodland animal drawings on the pages add a cute touch. Good quality paper, so I know the book is going to last.

This book seems like it is geared more toward boys, but that didn't stop me from ordering it for my daughter. I had read reviews where people were disappointed in the colors. That had me a little worried because I didn't want them to be too dark. I was not disappointed! The colors are very earthy and lovely. The pages all have cute woodland creatures (foxes, squirrels, birds, deer, etc.) and are not gender specific. The main pages are for the first year with a page each covering years 2-5. Even though it's not your typical "girl" baby book, I think it works well for a girlI do wish it had pockets for the baby bracelet but I can just tape it to the page so that's not a big deal. I also wish it had pages for "other momentos," My daughter was born 6 weeks premature and I would love to have a page to place some things we got from her stay at the NICU; her daily weight record, her preemie hat, the little parking tickets we got when we went to visit her, especially the one from the day she got to come home. These things don't make me regret getting the book.

A beautiful high quality memory book. Had all the features I was looking for, such as a page for each month's milestones with room for photos, a page for birth stats, and pages for birthday info. There is a page for handprints and footprints, a page for doctor visit info, a page for growth stats, a page for when teeth came in, a page for what was going on in the world around the time of baby's birth, a page for all of baby's firsts, and more. This is a truly wonderful memory book.

This is a sweet baby books for I think it has all the major points you'd want to write down as your baby grows. I JUST noticed that my book repeats itself. I have from 6 months-12 months and the pages that follow, twice. No 1-6 month pages! I thought that was odd when I received it and went to write in it for my son's 1 month milestones and found it started at 6 months. But now I see it was a misprint :(
