Back feels better
For 17 years I used the same office chair thinking it was good enough. My back got progressively worse, mostly from age. This chair allows me to sit for long period of time in comfort with my posture at the desk nearly perfect. For me it was more than worth the money for something I use daily. Also, the other reviews mention the adjustable lumbar pad. I can't imagine not being able to make this adjustment and recommend this less expensive option.

Not new/second hand refurbished item
The chair back was defective and no way to contact for support or replacement. Only option is to send back at my expense. I’ll just live with it I guess until it fails. My third Herman Miller chair so I know the quality to expect. This chair was scratched and dirty and when I attempted to contact Herman Miller which was the contact given through the Amazon help function their reply was that Amazon isn’t an authorized retailer and good luck!

Love this chair.
I had one of these at a previous job. I loved it so much I had to get one for home. This is the best office chair I have ever used. i would recommend it to anyone. I am over 6 feet tall. I have sat in all three sizes, but I prefer size C. I also do not use the lumbar thing. I just remove it.

Not suitable for sitting cross-legged
Summary: I normally sit cross-legged in my chair but because the edges of this seat are higher than the center (like a shallow cup), it is nearly impossible (and very painful) to sit in it that way. In retrospect I should have seen from the picture that this was likely. Sitting normally the chair is quite comfortable, and you could probably sit with one leg crossed under you. But if you like to cross both legs then DO NOT get this chair. I would give it 5 stars for normal sitters and 1 star for cross-leg sitters, which is why I put it down as a 3. One other thing I want to mention is the box it came in, which I would give -10 on a scale of 1-5. I certainly hope that this isn't the way HM ships these and it was just the reseller, because it was TERRIBLE. The "box" is put together with scraps of cardboard taped together. I really hope it survives the return shipment without falling apart.

Couldn't live without it
I had one of these chairs for about 15 years at work, before I retired. After spending a few months in the cheap (NOT inexpensive!) chair I have in my home office, I decided I had to purchase this chair. The comfort level is miles above the average office chair! They're expensive, but they're WELL worth it.

Pay Up for Great Quality: Jan 26th, 2013
I'm like most bargain shoppers. I want to buy a great product at a bargain basement price. I have a sore back from sitting too much in front of the computer. I read the review, watched the videos, and I love the product. Instead of paying $150 - $250 for a chair that will break down in 1-2 years, pay up for a chair that will last a decade.

Great chair, worth the high price
I'm a 6'2" computer programmer, so many chairs are too small and I sit all day. This was one of the best improvements I made to my home office.

I shouldn't have waited so long.
I've wanted one for years. I just couldn't justify the cost. At the end of 2013 I was looking, yet again, at it. Still unhappy with my current chair I realized that with what I'd spent on the last three chairs that fairly quickly ended up being replaced I could have bought one already. So I did.
