Q: Have you considered making a wider version of this product. My doorway is 47 inches and reading through the comments, many people have the same issue?

I was looking for the same thing but didn’t find additional extenders to be purchased separately. I actually needed 2 of these, one for the foyer which is 50in and the other for the formal dining room to keep my little puppy from running wild. The dining room entrance only required to door as is so I was able to use the extenders from that box as well as the other for a perfect fit. If have another opening that you could use another door at it could work but if not I doubt anyone would buy two these just get the extra extenders. Hope that helps.

There is an expansion on both sides that make it fit up to 43 inches

Q: Can this be "screwed" into place to make it permanent?

It doesn’t come with screws to do that, but I would think with the right drill and handyman skills it would be possible.

Q: the holes on the gate frame are to large for the adjustment bumber.... does anyone know what I can do? or just return it for a new one?

The adjustment bumpers will just slide into the ends of the gate they do not screw in. Once you slide them in you will rotate the adjustment knob, the knob will stay flush against the gate and the contact pad will start to extend out and push against the wall.
