My favorite part of this mustache wax is the scent, My wife remarked that it smelled extremely masculine. I have extremely curly facial hair which is difficult to shape, and Apothecary 87 has a strong hold. With it, I've successfully sculpt a good-looking handlebar mustache when my mustache is a little shorter than the one on the box picture. This is the 3rd mustache wax I've used (Clubman, and something else I can't remember the name of), and my favorite.

For a mustache wax with a guy on the package with handlebars, I expected it to be of consistency for my handlebars. It is not. It is a soft creamy wax which would be great for smoothing a mustache or beard, but certainly not for handlebars. It is also very highly fragranced. Although it is a pleasant masculine fragrance, it is very strong for putting under the nose. You could use the wax as a hand moisturizer or even as a fragrance, dabbed on the wrists, it is that strongly fragranced.

I absolutely love the scent, however the hold is not very strong. I have used this more as a "everyday/working man" product as rather than a special night out.

Great smell. Great hold. Plus I love the aesthetics of the container.

Nice scent and good for an oil treatment to soften hair, but otherwise was not firm, powerful or superior in the sense of what I was personally looking for.

To the Hipsters or Ladies that make this stuff I have some comments. First some of us have a mustache that sweeps more than 2" from each side of their face, your product does less than beeswax in the hold department. Or should this be point number one: hey guys a mustache is on a person's face JUST BELOW your nose thats the part of your body you smell with. I bathe on a regular basis I don't need something under my nose that smells this strongly and further more does very little to support my mustache this requiring a large quantity to be used.On the plus side I promptly discovered that it can be used to cover the smell of spilled Gasoline when filling my Motorcycle. I have to go wash this stuff off my face smells like a French wh*r* sat on it.
