Sculpey Original Clay, 3.75-Pound, White

I absolutely love Original Sculpey White Polymer Clay (3.75 pounds)! This is my go-to clay for everything. It's super easy to work with – soft enough for beginners but firm enough for detailed sculpting. I use it for all sorts of projects, from small models to holiday decorations. It bakes perfectly in a regular oven, becoming nice and solid. Being non-toxic is a huge plus, especially for school projects. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, this clay is versatile and reliable. Highly recommend!

I have bought this for my 14 year old son at home, and for his art class at school. The kids all love it. The amount in the box makes more small projects than you’d think. The clay is very pliable and is easy to mold and shape. It does not air dry, and kids can change their mind about what they wish to do with their project, but it’s stable enough that projects don’t seem to be easily destroyed while awaiting their time in the oven. Speaking of oven, super easy to use in an at home oven! My son has learned how to turn on the oven, and to calculate how long to bake his projects…. Bonus use of practical math skills including measuring size, temperature and time! Once baked, it’s easy to paint and seems to hold up well. I highly recommend this clay.

It’s great for medium detail models. If you’re looking for firmer or higher detail you’ll want to look at super sculpey, fimo, etc. but original sculpey is great for many small cute works, is easy to learn to work with, and is affordable. Good for crafters and kids alike. This batch I got for my nieces, the older of which (age 4) wanted to immortalize some of her playdough creations, but I myself have also crafted with original sculpey for fun and stress relief as well. Comes well-sealed and you get a lot for your money compared to most local stores like Michaels’s. If you find it’s a bit too sticky, try letting it cool down. Even putting it in the fridge can make it a bit harder and thus easier to add detail. Do keep in mind that for larger works you will want some armature wire and/or aluminum foil as very heavy, thick pieces bake unevenly throughout and thus it will be brittle on the outside as it hardens on the inside. Lots of other tips can be gleaned on YouTube before you need to graduate to more expensive products

About this for my grandson he loves to sculpt I love the idea of the clay being white because he also loves to paint his creations durable you do have to put it in the oven but it's pretty quick and it dries nice

The Clay was extremely dry when I opened it and I spent a while working water into it just to get it to be usable. After I oven baked it it wasn't as hard as traditional clay.

I had tried other air dry or paper clays because I wasn't sure about spending the money for the brand name sculpey clays, but this is such a great product and this size is a great value. It's very easy to work with and bakes nice and solid. It can get a little soft and hard to work with if you handle it too much, but if you just set it aside to harden up again it's very easy to sculpt.

Nice box of Sculpey clay almost 4 pounds theres 3 big bricks in the box. You can create a lot with this box of clay! I already baked a small project and the clay hardens nicely. Recommended 275F at about 15-20 minutes per 1/4 inch of clay. It won't hardly discolour either if you don't bake too hot. Their clay stock isn't old either. My box was dated December of 18'.
