I've carried tea lights in my outdoor survival kit for decades. Pair one up with a space blanket and although you won't have much fun you'll be alive to tell the tale. Look up "Palmer Furnance" for the technique. I always carried regular tea candles wrapped in a small amount of tape. That gave me some tape and protected the candle. But over time the candles would get beat up, the tape would get wet or otherwise fail, etc. Exotac really upped the game with these. These candleTIN Nano candles are well made, highly durable and much longer lasting than my old tea light solution. No, they are not cheap. But for survival use these are worth every penny. One of these candles is a permanent addition to my survival kit (two or three in winter) and I bought more for my kids' survival kits.

These close well and light up good. I was hoping for a little more heat than these provide. It seems very similar to my tea candle that cost a few pennies.

Long lasting candle that's easy to carry for camping or emergency bag. Lid stays on in transit, so you don't have to search for it when you get to where you're going. Recommend.

Very small and packable. These are about the diameter of a 50 cent piece and probably 3/4 inch tall. They are a great candle for emergency light and can be a great tool for getting a fire going as they burn quite a while for how small they are. They do generate a fair amount of heat but I wouldn’t rely on them for that as much as the bigger ones.

Got these for emergency use on camps. Burned one to see how it worked. Easy to light and keeps on going with no tending. Left outdoors and burned all night. Definitely something anybody should have for cold weather.

Perfect size for emergency kits.

I got my 3 nano candles and was surprised and unhappy to see a "lead warning" sticker. Why is there lead in these beeswax candles? Is there lead in the cheap can they come in, or in the wick, or in the wax itself? I asked this as a question a week ago, but the seller never responded, so I'm posting it here in this review, hoping for a response. I don't want to be breathing lead fumes! So as a substitute, I've ordered regular beeswax candles which advertise "lead free cotton wicks" and don't come in a can. Meanwhile I'm stuck with these things which I'm afraid to use now.

Die Kerzen wurden sehr schnell geliefert - schon mal super. Die Tatsache, dass die Kerzen in Alu-Schraubdöschen sind, sowie die Größe, machen sie ideal zum Mitnehmen im Rucksack beim Trekking, Bushcraften oder Picknick. Auch im Camper machen die sich super, da kommt es ja ebenfalls auf kleine Größe, wenig Gewicht und saubere Verstaubarkeit an. Der Bienenwachsduft ist sehr dezent und das Wachs sieht eher blassgelb aus. Ich kenne Bienenwachs sonst intensiver in Farbe und Duft. Ich frage mich daher, ob das wirklich pures Bienenwachs ist?! Allerdings habe ich die Kerzen bisher noch nicht benutzt. Vielleicht riechen sie dann doch etwas stärker nach Bienenwachs. Wir man dann sehen, bzw. riechen. Und auch, wie lange die tatsächliche Brenndauer ist. Ich werde das hier dann ergänzen und Euch wissen lassen. Bei Lieferung war um jeweils 3 Döschen eine eng anliegende Kunststoffhülle. Soll vermutlich ein Auslaufen von Wachs verhindern? Vielleicht auch nur das Verkaufs-Gebinde von 3 Stück zusammenhalten. Geliefert wurden die Kerzendöschen an einem heißen Julitag. Und die Kerzen waren dennoch einwandfrei. Das Wachs war nicht angeschmolzen, nicht in den Dosen zu einer Seite hin gelaufen und verformt. Sie waren einwandfrei und der Docht schön in der Mitte, wie das muss. Also soweit alles tippitoppi. Nun steht nur noch der Test bei Gebrauch aus. Infos dazu erden nachgereicht, sobald die Kerzen zum Einsatz gekommen sind. Der Preis ........... Tja, liebe Leute, was soll man da sagen? Ich habe 19,59 beim Verkäufer Bushcraftshop bezahlt. Völlig übertriebener Preis! Aber ich hab diese Kerzen halt gebraucht. Wahnsinnige 29,98 Teuronen erdreistet sich der Anbieter Wilderness 1-2-1 zu verlangen. Hallo?! Für quasi 3 bessere Teelichtchen?! Das schreit zum Himmel! Daher der Abzug von Sternen. Hoffe, das war hilfreich für Euch - freue mich über entsprechende Rückmeldung :)
