Good, but not great
Given the choice between this and a stainless steel bottle, I'll take the stainless steel. But for glass, it is kind of cool. If you drop glass, it will break. If you drop this, it MAY break. You'd have to be a complete dwib to expect this not to break when you drop it. It has just a little extra help by way of the silicone sleeve. This is enough to keep it from breaking next to other bottles or items, when left in a bag that is gently tossed, and other accidents that don't involve dropping. But with the silicone sleeve, if you DO drop it, you actually MAY have a chance for it's survival. That is ALL. The Lifefactory bottles come with one of three lids. Solid, flip top, and this one, the straw cap. The straw is medical grade tubing - similar to that used in an IV. The spout on the top of the cap flips back for use. There is somewhat of a vaccuum generated within the bottle and you need to flip the cap back all the way to release the pressure and get the straw to work properly. If you leave the bottle sitting closed for a time, the pressure builds up again, and you'll need to unscrew the cap to get the straw to work again before flipping it back. This is just a minor nuisance - and totally worth it for the convenience of this flip up straw lid. The silicone rubber seal on the lid is good and holds, but the flip up spout does leak if the bottle is turned on it's side. The spout portion is also very easily broken. The first day I used one of these bottles, it fell down in my truck, rolled around a bit, toppled over, rolled around some more, but at one point it fell down from off the edge of the bed of the truck onto a rubber mat. It fell about 3 or more ft, did not break, but the spout that was flipped up fell off. The spout clipped right back on, but the seal was broken and pressure could not be restored no matter what I did. Trying to use it was like trying to use a damaged straw as the connection wasn't sealed and air was getting in. I've gotten a few more of these however, as I really love the straw feature... been looking for something like this for years.

Average quality glass bottles
I really enjoy my life factory bottles, but I really hate their price. It blows my mind that a water bottle can cost more than $20-$25. With that said, I was able to find these life factory bottles at a lower price on amazon. I think these bottles are well worth the price if you can find them at $10-$15. I like that these cups come with straws, because I feel that I use them more frequently. The only thing to note about the straws is that because of the silicon that they are made of, you have to wash them really really well, and I recommenced washing them by hand. I find that when I wash them in the dish washer, they hold the smell and taste from other foods in the washer (gross). It is a minor inconvenience, but we still enjoy these bottles. I think it is also worth noting that if you drop this bottle when full, onto wood or tile, they will SHATTER (speaking from experience). I expect this because they are glass, but I feel it is worth noting. I believe these glasses are the same quality as ELLO glass water bottles that are also sold on this site for half the price. (If you drop it on carpet however, it could be safe. Our bottles have not shattered when dropped n carpet.)

16oz bottle is the perfect size and glass bottle means clean tasting water!!
Great water bottle. I got the lilac 16 ounce with flip straw and it's a great size for me. My husband has the carbon/gray 22 ounce bottle with the flip cap. Look at the photos to get a sense for the difference in size.I was sick of the plastic taste of my past water bottles, and my husband raved about his new lifefactory one, but I thought his was too heavy, too bulky, and I prefer a flip straw. Lucky for me, there are many options!Whereas the 22 ounce size doesn't fit in either of our cars cup holders (a VW and a Honda) my 16 ounce one fits easily, the 16 ounce size is also considerably lighter than the 22 ounce one, so I am willing to bring it along with me. I haven't experienced any leaking yet, though it's been pretty consistently upright, so it hasn't really been tested in that regard. The straw suction works okay. I'd prefer to get more water with each sip, but it'll do.My husband's bottle has been through the dishwasher many times and still looks like new, so I'm confident mine will hold up in the wash as well.Last note, the caps are interchangeable across the different sized bottles. If I ever wanted to try the flip cap, I could use my husband's cap on my bottle.

Nice bottles, terribly fragile straw caps
I have the baby bottle version of these that we use for smoothies with a 3rd party topper and straw. My kids are ready for the next level size-wise and I thought these would be perfect. I do love them, the glass is unbeatable with it's durability and the silicone sleeve is a dream. However, the straw cap leaves much to be desired. I have read the reviews and the all the paperwork/directions that came with the straw cap about how to properly open the straw all the way to create the proper flow etc. It is critical that the straw be fully opened. My complaint is just how fragile the mechanism is. We've had these only a few days and one was dropped from a relatively low level and the flip part of the straw that you suck out of popped out. It was easy enough to put in, but now it no longer functions! If you open the straw all the way it won't create suction and if you don't open it far enough it won't create suction. You have to hold it in one very tiny and very specific spot or it won't work. While I understand they are not MEANT to be dropped, the whole reason for buying such a durable glass bottle is that it will survive drops. Yes this part is plastic, but at $10 a pop to replace these straw tops this is unacceptably shoddy construction! Plus, with the pressure that builds up in the unit if it sits out for more than 10 minutes, they start leaking out the straw rather quickly. Very disappointed. Bottom line: 5 stars for the bottle and 1 star for the top.

Comfortabl and stylish
After using this bottle, I find it very difficult to drink out of a plastic bottle. The water tastes so much fresher and purer from this glass bottle. I like how sturdy it is. I’ve dropped it a few rimes and because of the casing, there was no problem with that. It stays clean and I find it easy and comfortable to carry, thanks to the handle. The only thing I dislike, and hence the 4 star rating, is the straw cap. This straw cap is prone to making a really odd sound when one finishes the water in the bottle. It has gotten me some looks in the past.

Great design, I drink a lot more water throughout the day
I carry this water bottle with me everywhere! I’ve been drinking a lot more water thanks to this great product. I don’t use the dishwasher to clean it, just soap and water as I’m worried it will warp the colour or shape of the silicone. I love that it’s glass! The silicone cover also tells you how many mls you’ve drank. It’s a bit pricey for what it is though.

Must have
Been trying to be more eco friendly so chose this bottle and I absolutely love it. My toddler has dropped it a few times and it’s still going strong and I love that it doesn’t have that weird plastic taste like lots of reusable plastic bottles

Straw cap stopped working after two weeks, on both bottles
Sadly, after two weeks the straw cap no longer works properly on either of them so they are a bit useless now. Great in theory but they don't last long.
