FULI 100% Cotton Zippered Futon Cover, Japanese Futon Mattress Cover, Shikibuton, Made in Japan (Full XL, Dark Gray)

I ordered the XL TWIN size cover to go over my Futon of the same size from the same compay.The item arrived promptly and in excellent condition, NO creepy smells! I am a quilter so I adore good quality cotton fabric: this is made IN JAPAN of thick excellent quality breathable cotton. The very discreet zipper is sturdy and installed with care and skill. VERY Happy with this cover ~ super easy to put on over the futon (I have the futon by this same company) or to remove. Launders just fine ~ it is a bit oversized to account for the usual amount of cotton shrinkage, I prefer to line/hang dry rather than use the dryer. No pilling. The price is excellent ~ I could not buy this many yards of fabric for $50 (and that does not even take into account labor or the cost of the zipper!). Good VALUE. If you are using your Futon daily, you might consider buying two if you can, so you can easily swap then out on wash day. The color is a nice soothing camel color. I have no hesitation in recommending this high quality item.

I have an Ecin Twin (75” long) Shikibuton purchased here on Amazon, and was looking for a cover. With all of the reviews talking about this cover shrinking, I decided to get the XL Twin for this cover and use my regular washer and dryer settings to let it shrink. It does get much shorter, but the width seems to generally stay the same. Now the cover is just a few inches longer than the futon, but I just fold the extra underneath to look more neat. And, most importantly, I don’t have to hang it to dry or wash it in gently, because who has time for that kind of special care? It is comfortable. I have only just put it on, so I cannot comment on durability yet, but seems like it will be fine. The zipper seems sturdy. We shall see.

I like this cover, it protects the futon and keeps it clean. It's not the softest fabric so I also use a regular sheet set over this for double the protection

I didn’t have any option when it came to buying a cover for the futon mattress but i think the price was reasonable and the fabric quality and build quality of the covering is nice. I also like the neutral light grey color. Very cool to the touch, lightweight in feeling yet durable in thread count.

I bought this to go with my Fuli futon mattress. Although it takes some work, the mattress fits well into it. The quality is good and it feels great sleeping on it. I just felt this cover is overpriced.

Our king-size futon cover is virtually impossible to use. A king-size futon is huge. And heavy. Trying to slip this cover over one is like trying to dress a person against their will. If you ever need to wash the cover, good luck trying to get it on or off. Even worse, the zipper they've put on this thing is so flimsy that ours broke just trying to get it on. Then, the seam where the zipper ends started to rip when we had to take the cover off to wash it. Over all, such a huge futon cover needs a more durable zipper, and ideally one that continues along at least two sides of the futon—preferably three—and certainly not just one!In short, this futon cover is not easy to use and not durable enough for the rigors of being used on a king-size futon. My suggestion is that you invest in two pair of fitted king-sized sheets and just put one over the top of the futon and the other over the bottom. Skip this cover.

Felt like it was overpriced but the cover fits the futon sold by them perfectly. Thinking about buying another to have an extra one. I haven't washed it yet.

I’m pretty disappointed in this product. The texture is not very soft, which wasn’t a big deal but then the zipper broke and that’s a big deal because it’s now unusable. Unless you want something temporary, skip this product.

Anyone else? I also didn’t have any trouble getting it over the futon I’m not sure why everyone else is? I recommend sliding it in corner to corner. Easy peasy. Not sure if the extra seam is a defect bc it doesn’t make any sense??

Ordered the dark grey and regret it. I can’t believe that it’s already noticeably discoloured after 2 washes. I followed instructions and did not tumble dry, zero bleach, and used hypoallergenic baby detergent with zero colouring.For $140 it’s honestly sad. Avoid this, or at least avoid the Dark Grey.I am so discouraged because I love my futon and tatami mat and paid a lot for the set.
