Fastway FLIP 88-00-6500 Trailer Tongue Automatic Fold-Up Jack Foot Plate for 2 1/4" Jacks-6" Extension (2-Inch Inner Jack Tube)

My previous travel trailer (a 2012 model) came with a Flip-jack factory installed when I purchased it brand new. This year I upgraded to a new camper that did not have this feature... so I purchased and installed one for myself. That alone tells You everything You need to know about whether I like these or not!The installation was breeze by the way... I will say that no drilling was required for mine as the footpad hole was proper size and alignment. However should Yours need the attachment hole added, I wouldn't expect that to be too difficult with a quality drill and good bits.Finally, I did consider adding an electric jack to my new camper. After reviewing many options, the common theme with all of them seemed to be keeping them covered, protected, maintained, finding power to operate, and the size/inconvenience it creates interfering with the tailgate. Many people discussed having a reasonable service life of roughly 3-4 years, while others mounted theirs sideways to create a work-around for tailgate room. For a small fraction of the price of an electric jack I can connect and disconnect my camper just as quickly with or without 12v power, and all without the hassles or the need to service or replace. Install once and super basic grease maintenance and it's good for years.I enjoy having this simple solution.

The media could not be loaded. Great idea. The size mentioned by the manufacturer is somewhat confusing as they want you to measure the outside shaft above the tongue even though the foot goes on the inner shaft under the tongue. The 2-1/4" model is really a 2" model, so once you understand the difference in nomenclature it makes ordering the right model a lot of easier. I'd recommend re-marketing the product using the actual inner shaft dimensions to eliminate confusion. I installed this on a Lippert (LCI) 3500# electric tongue jack mounted on a travel trailer with about 800-900 lb tongue weight. The Lippert jack came with a circular base with a quick disconnect (cotter pin) so removing the existing base was no trouble. The holes for the existing base were 90 degrees in contrast to where the Fastway Flip holes needed to be, so there were no issues with new holes being too close to old holes. The Fastway Flip pilot hole template built-in to the unit makes it real easy to get the holes started with a fool-proof method. Make sure you've got a nice sharp metal drill as you'll need it going through the steel. Installation was a breeze and I can confirm the Fastway Flip jack is 100% compatible with my Lippert 3500# electric jack. I went with the 6" long model, and my tongue (top) sits about 21" level, so I should have plenty of range, even at un-level campsites. I figure worst case if there is a campsite with an extreme incline near the tongue, I can simply hold the jack parallel to the ground while extending and use it tilted 90 degrees instead of the normal position. I didn't cut off my jack shaft (no need to) so there should be plenty of height needed to unhitch in a situation like that if needed. I can see where some users may want to go with the 4" model instead of 6" if they frequently camp at sites with extreme elevation differences at the tongue. I have plenty of clearance with the jack in the up position during towing (sits down just a little more than with the standard base plate). The best part about the product is the time savings when extending or retracting the electric jack. Mine was red as pictured...a black version with more subtle labeling would be nice to make it more discrete on a nicer travel trailer.

Ease of installation. Only problem was lippert jacks do not have a side hole drilled but the installation instructions were right on the money. Price is better than buying factory direct.

This is really easy to install, and I’ve used it two or three times now. I really like it, and it makes the job easier than I can believe. If you don’t have one, you need to get one and try it. You can always send it back if you don’t like it, but you won’t be sending it back.

After hitching, and un- hitching my travel trailer for years, and having to get down on my knee to remove, or install the jack foot, this product eliminates that. Also I do not need to Cary a 6×6 to put underneath the foot. It works great, just as advertised. Thank you

Installation is easy, and it can be completed within less than 30 minutes without any particular tool or skill level. Be mindful to follow instructions. Right positioning of provided spacers is important in order for the part to rest horizontally once raised. It has definitely eased the rigging tasks and the extra length allows for faster ball hitching process. Great product!

I installed this on our travel trailer a couple of years ago, and it has held up quite well. It makes lowering and raising the jack quick and easy and works well. No complaints, and a good investment

Purchased this to eliminate the big wood block I usually use. Works great. Just hold it in place as the jack leg is coming down to eliminate the trailer rocking.

Product is high quality. Easy installation. Works like they say. My only issue is that when jack is wound up the flip foot does not come up completely tight, rattles a little.
