Easy to install
Easy to install, works great. Just beware to make sure there is enough clearance for the arm when you cut the hole in the side of the steering wheel. I didn't realize that my original hole didn't have enough clearance on the far side (the side closest to the dash) as a result the arm didn't freely move. I took the arm off and cut out more and then it worked just fine.

Great cruise control / Needs updated instructions
Almost a year after buying this, I just installed the cruise control yesterday, and I thought I should leave a review for others. This is a great product. It took less than an hour to install, and it worked immediately. I am giving it only four stars because the instructions are a bit confusing. It seems that Toyota has all the infrastructure in place so you just have to plug this thing in and it works. You'll even see the cruise control light appear on the dash board. We bought a 2008 Toyota Corolla that did not have cruise control, so I came across this item, and decided to try to install it. I'm writing this review to help others get through the installation, which is actually much more simple than the instructions suggest. If you don't have a 2008 Corolla, however, my suggestions may not be of much value. The main thing I want to ensure you know is that you do not need any of the special tools from the manual, such as the switch hole cutter, switch hole template tool, or switch die extraction tool. If you happen to have them, they're great, but they don't come along with the cruise control (and I couldn't find anywhere online where you could buy them).Instead of using these tools, you will need to cut a small hole in the plastic shroud that goes around the steering column with a drill and possibly a small hacksaw. They provide a paper template that you can tape onto the column so you know where to cut a rounded, square shaped hole. The idea is that you would drill the four corners, and then cut the straight edges. It was a bit of a pain to cut the edges, and instead I used the drill bit to "sand" them, sort of like a dremel. The good news is that you're cutting a hole in a place that isn't all that easy to see, so it's not such a big deal if it's ugly. The instructions are all about using the special tools, which don't seem to exist, and as such, can be a bit confusing. If I were to do it over again, I might drill something like a 1 1/2" round hole using the circular saw-like bits you might use to cut a hole in a door for a door knob. A dremel would be sort of ideal for this, or maybe a jig saw if you could fit it in there. No matter how you cut the hole, you'll want to sand it down.Another piece of advice: The screws that hold the air bag in place are a bit of a pain, especially when you re-assemble everything. I recommend you lock the steering wheel at an angle, so that one of the screws is up and the other down, this will ensure that one of the screws won't fall out of place (the downward one).Other than the cutting and the air bag screws, installation is very easy. I hope this helps someone out there.

Excellent
Simple mechanism but works to perfection. I was too lazy to install it myself, but my install guy said it was quick and easy.

Like factory
Worked perfectly, the instructions were a little vague and had to go on YouTube to get a better idea on how to install it. Did not come with the knockout tool but template worked pretty good.
