Maxxis Ardent - my kind of tire.
One of the best 650B tires out there. The rolling on these tires is fine; don't expect these tires to roll like racing tires because they won't. If you read the description on these tires, it clearly states that these aren't meant to have the feel of a racing tire.I have used these tires on races (I'm not a semi or pro racer, but I take part in several races a year), and they perform well.I have about 300+ miles on them already and they're still in great shape and the grip is outstanding even after those many miles. Grip, while taking sharp and leaning in turns, is what I love the most about these tires. These tires roll great on compact, rocky and somewhat loose terrain.Another thing, side walls are strong and hold up well. I ride these at around 28-30lbs in a tubeless setup.

Excellent tire choice
This tire has held up well on all kinds of rides, from dry and dusty, rocky and rooty, to muddy and sloppy. The tire has a very large profile for a 2.25" and helps a 27.5 ride more like a 29er. The round profile helps it hook up in turns reasonably well also. It set up tubeless very easily - mounted without tire levers but still beaded nicely first try. All in all my new favorite tire.

Great tire
Sticky rubber and thick sidewall. Grips slick rock really well. A bit easier to set the bead by hand (on a tubeless setup) than the regular folding wall Ardent I replaced (that one was impossible to set without an air compressor or CO2).

Not the best as far as braking traction goes
Not the best as far as braking traction goes, but sticks well in corners and has been a great dry summer tire in the DC area.

These are very good tires and work ok
These are very good tires and work ok. The only problem was that I ordered a tire with a lighter sidewall that was tubeless compliant and the tires that I received were not tubeless, and they had the heavier (thicker) sidewall.

Just got this tire to replace a high roller 2 rear 2.35. The ardent 2.25 in the rear feels great, it rolls better than the high roller and has decent traction. Ive kept a 2.35 front high roller and a 2.25 rear ardent and find the combo great.

I ride in Utah and we have a lot of diverse riding except for mud as riding our trails after a rain will ruin them. This tire is a definite upgrade from the factory tire that came with the bike. It corners and handles lose terrain really well. And no complaints on desert rock.
