Hair Models Must Be Gatekeeping This!
I'm amazed at this product and disappointed I didn't find it sooner. I am half asian half caucasion and have naturally 2A/2B frizzy hair. My hair is dyed brown from black, so the damage makes it course and frizzy as well. I followed the salon directions to a T and I now have stick straight, silky, healthy, and bouncy hair that dries in half the time as it did before. The only thing I did differently than what the directions said was substitute the shampoo and conditioner for a sulfate and sodium chloride free set by PUREnature. I had a Brazillian blowout once, when I was in my early 20's and this gave a much nicer result for way cheaper. TIPS: Application- I applied using a brush and sections and used gloves. The next time I do it, I will apply less product. I used about 1/3 of the 120 mL bottle and the hair only needs to be combed through with enough product. There should not be product dripping off the ends. My hair is also 20" so a little goes a long way. Fumes- They are seriously strong and made my eyes water. Like others, I used the vent fan in my bathroom and kept my apartment windows/balcony door open. If you plan on doing this it might be wise to purchase a pair of safety goggles. Drying - I used my Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer and could not imagine doing it again without it. It help speed up the drying process while keeping the hair detangled. Straightening- I recommed using a good quality straightener that heats evenly to the desired temperature mentioned in the instructions. I had to borrow one from my mom and will be looking into getting a better one down the road because it didn't clamp or heat evenly so it made it difficult to get all of the fumes out. I straightened my hair for 3 hours after drying, using very thin (almost see through) sections. I also applied a heat protectant and let it sit 10 minutes beforehand because it started smelling like burnt hair and I saw tutorials on youtube where they used a heat protectant. I also took the opportunity to apply jojoba oil on the ends and have that heated into the follicle as well (jojoba is most similar to the molecule size of natural hair oil). After most of the fumes/product was out of my hair (you can feel the difference where there is product that still needs straightened out), I kept it in for the recommended 72 hours, straightening when I didn't have anything else to do at home. When I do this again, I will definitely avoid placing product directly on the scalp because you can feel it and it is not fun to sit with for 3 whole days. TLDR; this stuff works if you follow the directions well. Great investment for the price and avoiding the hassel of styling/drying hair. Going to save a bunch of time=money for the next 5 months. For $55 (including the shampoo and conditioner I purchased separately) completely worth it! Very satisfied.

Loved it! Even better results than I expected!!!
I have been using Keratin Research treatments every 4-6 months for the past two years and was very happy with the results. I never thought I would find anything better, but decided to take a chance with the Keratin Forte Plus. It was the best decision I could have made because the results were beyond my expectations. The application process is the same, with the difference that I left it on for 3 days, instead of just overnight. Yes, the smell is stronger and had to stand in front of a box fan to help avoid the fumes while passing the flat iron (which I usually complete in 1 to 1.5 hours because I have lots of hair and very long). However, after washing my hair the 3rd day I noticed my hair is now very straight without having to use a blow dryer or hair straightener. My hair is naturally wavy (not curly), but gets very frizzy in humid areas, black with blonde highlights and the treatment did not cause any damage; quite contrary it now feels very soft. I suggest purchasing the small bottle and not the large (even if it saves you money). For some reason, once it is opened and use the remaining product for a 2nd or 3rd treatment, the results are not as good. It is best to use the small bottle, once. The 120 ml was enough for one treatment on my 20 inch long hair. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has the patience to apply the treatment at home and flat iron their hair in small sections. It is definitely worth it and saves you paying hundreds of dollars at the salons!!! Best of luck and I am happy to answer any questions.

Works like a charm
I have no idea how people used this bottle multiple times. I have thick, long hair and I ran out of formula. I think I oversaturated it a bit, but it definitely wouldn't be enough for 2 applications for me. The instructions are a bit confusing. But make sure you block out 2-3 hours to apply this and straighten your hair and wash it out and straighten it again. Takes forever, especially if you have long, thick hair. My hair felt so disgusting after I applied the solution, like super greasy and dirty. My scalp was also a little tingly some places. I thought for sure I was going to need to rinse it out before 72 hours. The smell was also really strong and kept me up all night with a headache. But after the first day it felt a lot better and didn't smell like chemicals as much. After washing my hair, I could tell how well it worked immediately. My hair was silky smooth and easy to manage. It doesn't straighten your hair, but makes it much easier to dry and manage. I can comb my hair out when it's wet and it dries pretty straight, or I can leave it wavy if I want. My advice would be don't do it at night before bed and make sure you have plenty of ventilation, like a fan and an open window. Overall this is a great value.

Very good product. Must ventilate well and follow directions.
I've been doing keratin treatments for several years, both at salons and at home. I have been disappointed with recent treatments at salons because they are now using the treatments that have low or no formaldehyde and they wash out the solution before they flat iron. These treatments were a waste of my money. Didn't last a month. I really like this product because it works of you follow the directions, and they send you an instructional email ahead of the delivery and written instructions with the treatment. It does have a lot of formaldehyde but you really need it if you want the treatment to last, so you MUST ventilate while applying and flat ironing. And flat iron on small sections at a time as described in the instructions. Trying to do large sections means you won't heat all the hair enough to seal in the treatment. So make sure you have time to do the flat ironing correctly. My natural hair is fairly fine, curly and frizzy. My hair looks great again, very little wave left and smooth as silk. One more thing, I recommend using a heat resistant glove while flat ironing.

Love it. Do it!
I really didn't think I could do this myself. I am living in Germany (US military) and the charge for Keretin on my VERY short hair was 240 Euro! Ummm...no! I even struggled to pay $150 back in the states. So, the frizz finally got to me and I trusted this stuff. Glad I did. My hair is smooth and blowdries fast. Didn't even need the flat iron after washing the first time just dry and go. I have a lot of grays mixed in with white blonde (colored) so my hair was dry and straggly. I love this stuff. Save time, save money and love my hair more...I'm all in! Would never pay salon prices again. Not to hard to do. Did it on my own with my daughter smoothing out the hairs in the back. I have cowlicks - front and back and they are both tamed and staying in place. Will buy again. As for smell, yes it was a bit harsh and eyes watered a bit in the blow-dry phase and the ironing part - but it was exactly the same as when I had it done at the salon so no different doing it on your own. I had good luck! Go for it!

Less drying, softer and smoother, but the waves came back
My wife's hair is naturally somewhere between wavy and curly, the strands are fairly thin but she has a LOT of them. Her hair is also frequently color treated and damaged. She bought this kit and we meticulously proceeded through the steps. The smell wasn't terrible except through the blow-dry portion, and the fumes made our eyes water. 2 box fans and a ceiling fan were necessary to help ventilate. After blow drying, her hair felt a bit grungy, kinda sticky and heavy. The flat-iron step went pretty well and that grungy feeling lifted considerably. Her hair was definitely smoother, softer and shinier. It was also fairly flat, but we chalked that up to any remaining product weight and figured it would go away after the first shampoo. After reading some other reviews, she waited 5 nights before washing though the instructions only suggest 3. Washed and conditioned with sulfate-free products. Drying time was reduced quite a lot which is nice. However, after only the first wash, her wavy hair is back about 40%. It is still smoother, softer and less frizzy, and that's what she really wanted the most, so it's still kind of a success. Not sure i would go through this process again but she might decide to find a better helper and repeat the procedure in the future. Will try update after a few more washings to see how it goes. Note: this product DOES contain formaldehyde. Research told me it is best left to the pros and to find products for the DIY crowd that were formaldehyde-free and I foolishly didn't notice this one didn't fit that bill until it was already in my hair.

Amazing! Do not hesitate to try this!
This is my second bottle of this product. I have paid for keratin blow outs several times in the past. The salon ones worked great, but the cost and amount of time it took was a hassle. I read lots of reviews, and decided to give this a shot. I have mulatto hair; so not as course or kinky as African American hair, but generally more toward those characteristics than Caucasian hair. This works just as well as the salon treatment. I don't apply it nearly as carefully as my stylists did, so it doesn't turn out as sleek and smooth as theirs, but on the parts of my hair where I was really diligent about the process, it was just the same. I always flat iron/curl my hair in beach waves, and even my sloppy job with this product cuts down my styling time in at least half! The parts I did well on, have only a very light wave, and nice volume still. The first bottle of this lasted me a long time. I believe I got 4-5 uses out of it, and I have thick hair, that at the longest point is to the bottom of my bra line. So it goes a very long way! Compared to $250+ for one use at a salon, I will definitely stick with this, even if I don't apply it as well on myself. If I asked someone for help, I am confident this would be just as good as a salon treatment, maybe better. I also feel like the results last longer than any of the salon treatments did, even though I not nearly as diligent at using shampoos that are safe for it because of the low cost to do it myself. Just remember to do this in a well vented area, as it is just as potent as a salon one (smell, and the burning/watery eyes). I do it in my large master bath, with the overhead fan running and a box fan in the window pulling in fresh air, and it's still strong. But no different than you encounter at a salon with this procedure. If you are on the fence about trying this, stop hesitating, and get it! You will love the reduced styling time!
