Sandtex 10 Year Exterior Gloss 750ml Brilliant White

Great coverage and dries to a really bright glossy finish. The only minor point is that it isn’t water based so takes a bit more effort to clean the brushes etc. but this is countered by the quality of the finish. I used this this for a metal garage door and wooden frame after undercoating them and was very pleased. I will use this paint again for exterior jobs.

This is expensive paint but, in my experience it's worth it and more economical in the long run. Previously I've had to re-coat window frames after 2 (sometimes fewer) years; I'm currently 4 years in with this Sandtex and it's still in good condition.

In 2014, I painted the black woodwork on a large canopy at the front of our house which gets full sun. The heatwave this summer caused the paint to lift a little in places, but otherwise, it would have been fine for another few years. I've repainted the woodwork with the same black 10-yr exterior gloss paint and know that it will last for many years to come. Also, back in 2014 I painted the soffits and barge boards with white 10-yr exterior gloss paint and that is all still fine, so will be good for a few more years.Now that so many paints are water-based and brushes are easy to clean, the only slight downside with this paint is that it is oil-based, so white spirit is needed to clean the brush, but that's no real hardship.
