First of all, this is wrapped and presented excellently. And even has the name of the person who hand wrapped it.The mahjong itself is of good quality and size. You get practically everything you need to play this awesome game. Comes with instructions.This oozes quality and style. Totally recommend.

An anniversary gift for my husband. It arrived beautifully packaged. The product itself was of very high quality and came in a beautiful case. We have throughly enjoyed using this product which has brought a lot of joy and fun. Excellent value for money.

this is a really nice tactile set and the tiles are nice to feel and well made. The case is nice to look at but on opening the lining is not that well fitted and even bumpy in places. The tile holders aren't that well covered either and feel a bit cheap (I'm not really sure they're even needed but they would probably be nicer just made of bamboo or something rather than covered in faux leather tape. It came beautifully wrapped and would make a nice present but unfortunately, the wind discs and dice were missing. I love the fact Jaques have such a great history and take such care with the wrapping and presentation but a few simple thing - like the missing pieces and the quality of the case lining and rests could make this a dissapointing present. As I say, I don't want to diss it totally as the actual playing pieces are really nice and that is after all the most important thing. I'd almost rather have them in a plain wooden box though.

This is a beautifully presented and well made set. It includes ribbon and thin packing paper. It would be perfect for a gift.It is very good quality and you would be hard pressed to find anything this beautiful for this price. I carried out a lot of research before I bought this item, as I was spending a lot of money on "a game"!It includes everything you would need to play the traditional game including: wind counters, racks, tiles, dice, betting sticks, instructions and individual boxes in which to store the tiles.The tiles are a bit bigger than I was expecting, but I am used to playing with a very old set. I can't get past the back of the tiles being plain, though - I keep thinking they are all white dragons!Please note: the rack lengths and instructions rely on using 17 tiles in the wall, not 18. Upon investigation, I learned that this is where some players do not use the flowers and seasons. We do use them, so the racks are one tile short for our game. Not a show-stopper, but just a bit annoying when building and moving the walls. The racks are more than long enough for your 13 tiles.This is the second time I have purchased a "Jaques of London" game and both times the product has been amazing, and the wrapping "the icing on the cake"!

I was very disappointed when I opened the box! The pieces are fine, but the playing-stands for them are very poorly covered in vinyl-like "stuff". There are gaps in the coverage and excess bits in places, absolutely not what you would expect for the price.I sent mine back for a refund.

This is a beautiful set, I was worried it wasn't going to be worth the money as it was a gift for my autistic son ( 27) but it was worth every penny, it is beautifully made and presented, it can in a beautiful box with a case inside which is lined with a soft material, the tiles themselves are thick and heavy and so beautiful to play with.If you are wanting to buy a mahjong set I would seriously recommend this one it will last a lifetime.

This is a really good set, complete with racks and payment counters. The playing pieces are nice and solid and clearly engraved/coloured. Nice feel to them.The case seems robust, though the carry handle is a little flimsy.Instructions included are a bit "machine translated" but are enough to get you going with the game. You can play and have fun without applying all of the traditional rules.
