Lids are made of thick 316 stainless steel, better than the average 304. Easy to clean with removable seal. Seal has occasionally popped out of lid (3% of the time), but so easy to place back inside of lid. Overall a very nice lid and seal.

I purchased these because I have moved to using glass mason type jars instead of plastic. These lids work really well for storage and no leaking. Understand they are not for canning. Dishwasher top and culinary tray safe - clean perfectly. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. We bought these to get away from rusty lids. These are very thin, so they will bend easily. That causes them to be a real challenge to put on. I am glad I bought them because they keep the food from getting contaminated, but I will be keeping an eye out for some made out of thicker material.

Who would have thought something like a lid would be exciting? These are great because they convert your plain old used jar into a very attractive storage jar and these lids do not rust like the typical canning lid. They even come with a little rubber type insert to provide a snug seal when screwed onto the jar. Great idea!

Very Poor Quality. I got these to use on 1/2 gallon Mason jars for home made Sweet Tea. Very Dis-satisfied with them. They are difficult to screw onto the mason jar and even harder to remove. These things are just crappy. Some of them leaked badly even when they were on so tight I had a hard time taking them off, because the threads on them fit so poorly. I returned them for a full refund which I did get. I'm very glad to have made the return and gotten my refund. There are much better Mason Jar lids available here on Amazon. Look for the plastic ones with a flip open spout top. I got those instead. I couldn't be happier. They work really good, they don't leak, they fit incredibly well and they're really easy to clean.

Great product, what I expected.

I've purchased other stainless mason jar lids in the past. Comparatively, the lids themselves are fine, but the silicone gaskets on these aren't great. They're size slightly smallish, so they don't stay in the lid as well, tend to fall out. They do seal up fine, but if they were 1-2mm wider, they'd stay in place better.
