Q: Is it better to freeze grinder b4 using it ? I've noticed online that alot of people freeze the grinder and all parts for a day b4 using it..

Previously a butcher, you should use oil to lubricate between the grinding plates and cutting blade assembly, we used mineral oil. You need to refrigerate the attachment before use. Grinders at stores are bigger but same procedures apply. Metal on metal movement causes friction. Which causes heat. You will put your meat at a dangerous temperature otherwise. Cheers

I did 5 LB batches and it worked ok. Made about 30 lbs total. Over two days . With mixing and letting it marinat for 24-48 hrs before stuffing sausages . This is not a professional mixer , not very fast but worked well.

I would say no! I don't recommend you put bones or skin into this attachment or it will damage or block the blade.
