Direct part replacement for AquaClear 70
Easy and direct replacement for my AquaClear 70 filter. My filter was very noisy and now it's nice and quiet, water flow has even improved by a lot.

Fixed noise going on with my Fluval 70 filter
Apparently the pin in my old filter was wore down. This fixes the issue along with a cleaning of the filter and I added some Vaseline along with it just to be sure so I didn’t have to take down the filter again for anything and now it is about 95% more quiet. Best Buy ever and saved a lot of money from buying a new filter which is what I was about to do in the first place. Don’t buy a new filter! You can buy this or a new fan depending on what your issue may be. They sell both separately or together. Good luck!

Better than the original
The impeller from my filter kept making noise after one year so I bought this one on January 2023 and it's still working strong, found a backup one that I completely forgot about that is still new since I thought they had a year life spam. Highly recommend trying this if your filter is noisy!

Works great
Works as it should, but these shafts don't seem to last as long as they did

Beware of sand substrate!
I make this review as I’m awaiting the replacement for this impeller shaft. This product DOES NOT hold up well to sand intrusion into the impeller housing. This is obviously the weak point of the whole Aquaclear design. That being said, the product works wonderfully on my other tank and actually works great on the tank in question as well, it just gets worn out quickly when it picks up debris like sand. I have installed a prefilter and am hoping this will rid me of any issues with sand. And yes, it still works well, even in its worn state.

Wish it fit!
Product came quickly and packaged carefully. It was exactly what was stated in the description. Unfortunately it didn’t fit my filter. I would definitely purchase from them again.

Best way to quiet an Aquaclear that's been running for a long time
When your Aquaclear filter starts making more noise than it used to, pull out the impeller shaft. That's the thin metal rod that the impeller assembly spins on. This rod should be perfectly uniform in diameter throughout the length of the rod. When it gets worn down, it starts getting thinner in the middle. The thinning of the rod causes the impeller assembly to rock back and forth in the motor hitting the sides...causing the noise.I run my filter 24/7. I find that I'm replacing the impeller shaft 9 months after I last purchased it. I'm sure I could let it run a few more months before my wife starts complaining about it...but for $6 it's worth the peace and quiet...plus it quiets the filter too. Buy a couple of these, one to replace and one to keep on hand for the next time,
