See the Image to the right: mine's tag says 55% pashmina 45% silk
Mine's tag is not sewn on but put onto a corner with a fierce adhesive: when I tried to pull it off by one end, there was residue...but I was able to pull it cleanly off by the other side. Weird, huh? This tag is helpful because it includes the washing instructions which allow for cold wash, hanging dry and ironing. I've put wraps through the washing machine on the cold, delicate cycle and have even gotten away with light drying and taking them out damp. Make SURE when you wash it to use Shout Color Catcher if ANY thing else is washed with it. Especially the first time. Don't assume the dyes are set.I love this wrap. It's possible that it is not true pashmina wool and silk because it isn't as smooth and soft as I thought it would be. However, it is possible that this is raw silk fiber rather than finely spun which is shinier. But you know what? I like this better. It has a bit more heft and is still soft enough without slipping off my shoulders quickly.Be very careful in ordering, though. I bought the default black and dark red one and the "front" of mine is pretty much as pictured but not the same colors or look as the reverse is shown above. Look instead at the 3rd picture above because that is exactly what the "wrong" side of mine looks like. It's orange and taupe. At this price, this wrap is a great deal. I own a lot of scarves and wraps purchased both on Amazon and in stores. And from presents. Being black, this one will go with a lot of outfits. I really like the slender 4" ties at the ends which are braided. The design is even more dramatic than it's pictured: the black block is a triangle in one corner and the red is the same size triangle in the opposite corner. The red is bordered with large paisley shapes, then a large diagonal band of the blocks and then a band of large oriental flowers borders on the black. The border of blocks around the entire wrap really pulls the colors and designs together. It's really pretty. When you decide which color you want, make sure you get the design you prefer because there are differences. And several are labeled "sparkly." I bought one of those as well and really like it.

Fantastic for the Price
Triple-layer, pashmina + silk, and lovely designs? I had to at least try it despite the mixed reviews. I ordered three pashminas:BB (red paisley) - for meBM (black paisley) - for my best friendBQ (green paisley) - for my cousinThe black paisley is actually labeled as 100% pashmina and the other two 55% pashmina + 45% silk. I don't know which is supposed to be better. Pashmina and silk are both fine materials so it doesn't really matter to me.Anyway, as to the negative reviewers for this item, I have to say that yes, the colors are more muted in person than in the pictures, but if you look at the pictures you can tell they have added brightness and contrast. This is somewhat deceptive, but you can tell by looking at the picture that this was the case, so I was not expecting them to be that bright. However I do agree with other reviewers about the sticky residue that is left when you remove the label. Not sure how I'm going to get that off.As for the quality, I cannot say anything negative there. They are soft and warm, everything you would want in a pashmina. Finally, they are standard length and width for a pashmina. I have no idea why anyone would have a hard time getting one around their neck as one reviewer mentioned. I wrap mine around my shoulders and waist without a problem.I am very satisfied with this purchase and I feel good about giving them as gifts. I would recommend them.

iPhone scarf--good for capacitive touch screen
I ordered the BM, thinking it would not have metallic threads, but it does. The pattern is lovely and i like the colors very much, but the threads make it appear gaudy. Recommend the seller correct the description for BM to note that it contains many metallic threads. I'm sure someone who expected the sparkle would appreciate it, but I did not. I hoped this would become a go-to scarf for daily use, but instead it's the backup scarf that I'll leave at work.Update: Feb 6, 2014Just figured out that the metallic threads in the scarf also mean the scarf lets you manipulate an iPhone touchscreen. The scarf acts similarly to the pricey iPhone gloves-- if you wrap your hand in the scarf you can still use your (capacitive touch screen) phone!Wish I had figured this out during the polar vortex! The scarf is now back in the rotation for the coldest days. It's still a gaudy scarf, but now it's a functional gaudy scarf!

For BK(SPARKLING) Rich Rust Color and Pretty Soft Despite Gold Threads
I had lost a shawl similar to this at a local fair and had been looking for a replacement ever since-the pattern is just as seen in the picture. It's definitely not pashmina (probably viscose like my other shawl), but in spite of the abundant gold weave is pretty soft, and the slight scratchiness of the gold thread makes it feel warm. Maybe 'triplelayer' means the three colors of rayon thread used (black, rust and suede in this particular style), but it's a relatively thin scarf, although it has been warm enough to substitute for a light coat in the recent 60-degree weather. One side has the majority of the gold weave (I fold over this as it's TOO itchy), and the other is the rich rust color with sparkles of gold peeking out between the colored threads. It does get itchy on my bare skin, but when it's cold that doesn't matter much. It's hard to beat the price but you may want to look elsewhere if somewhat scratchy gold thread tends to irritate your skin.

Excellent purchase!
I do love this shawl. At a budget price, I got a generously large piece that is very soft and drapes beautifully. I wore it on one of the coldest days of the year on a trip to DC. It was in the low 20's and quite windy. Adding this around my neck and tied ascot style gave me warmth and a nice pop of color and artistic design when I removed my coat. Because it is actually quite light and flows so well, I'll continue to wear this almost any time of year. I'll like to purchase other colors, as well. Great purchase and highly recommended!
