National Geographic Backyard Guide to the Birds of North America, 2nd Edition

We bought this book to use for our birdwatching off of our back porch. It is very informational and also comes with seasonal migration paths for the birds.

It's a little bit smaller than I expected. But it's easy to hold, if you are outside and you want to take it with you it will be easy. First impression it is nice.

*nerd alert* I LOVE this book! So easy to look up birds by name or appearance. The information contained is just enough to learn a bit about each bird, without overwhelming you. I reference the book multiple times most weeks. If you enjoy learning about birds at all, this is such a great purchase!

This is a great book with beautiful photos. Exactly what I wanted.

I received this as a gift and I am so delighted. This book is so helpful and I've learned quite a bit about the birds in my own backyard. There are pictures of the birds, a map indicating where they like to live, and about their food, nesting, plumage, and their voices. The index is helpful, I can zero in on the birds I want to research.

I use for identifying new birds in my yard.
