Seventh Generation Free & Clear Dish Liquid Soap Fragrance Free 25 oz

I only buy natural cleaners and I wanted a natural disinfectant as well. I purchased this one because I love Seventh Generation's products and their mission statement. The day after I got it, I did a full clean of my house. I used this in the kitchen and the bathroom. It cleans VERY well - cuts through all sorts of food stains (picks up crumbs and dissolves tomato sauce), stuck on bathroom messes (like lotion and toothpaste). I would use this very time I had to clean except... the smell.I am very much not a fan of the smell. Half of it is my fault - I read "lemongrass" on the side as "lemon." It really is my fault, so I would give five stars. But besides the fact that I am not a huge fan of the smell, it lasts forever! Two days later and my house still has the lingering scent of "lemongrass." I don't think I've ever smelled "lemongrass," but this cleaner smells almost like a whole jar of oregano.Pros:- Cleans very very well- Cuts through any mess- If you like natural cleaners, Seventh Generation is a great option!Cons:- The smell is PUNGENT and will last for a few days- Literally, just the smell - which is very "herby"

The Seventh Generation Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner is a staple cleaning product around my house (especially the kitchen). I cannot make any statements on the actual disinfecting effects, but for the years I have used it I never had any issues with germs.I mostly use it to wipe clean the kitchen regularly and disinfect items around the house; I like that I can just spray, let it sit (if I want to disinfect), then wipe clean without rinsing. Around the kitchen is great for regular cleaning, daily wipes; it doesn't work as a powerful degreaser.I prefer this product due to the good rating it has on EWG, so I know it's better for me and the environment. I also have a cat and she isn't bothered by this product, for which I can tell. The lemongrass citrus scent (mixed with the thyme) is not the most appealing to me, it's quite strong when sprayed first; but it doesn't bother me that much, since I know it comes from essential oils.The sprayer works perfectly, never had any problems with the packaging; it actually sprays all the product out.The bottle delivered from Amazon Pantry was delivered wrapped in a plastic foil, I assume to protect from any spoil during the transportation.

I was SO thrilled when I found this product because my supply of disinfectant wipes is almost gone. I was looking for something that would disinfect and be safe for my kitchen counters. I knew there was a problem when I picked up the box it was delivered in and there was a weird smell. But I still thought there was no way it could be this product and nothing was leaking. I used it the same day on my kitchen island before I started making dinner. I sprayed and instantly smelled something was wrong. Whatever this stuff is, it's not the real product. It smelled like pesticide mixed with petroleum. a very strong chemical smell. I wiped it off but the overpowering smell remained. could even taste it. I wiped it with a wet cloth and the smell didn't go away. I used a different type of spray and it overpowered that. When my husband came home from work (who has almost zero sense of smell) he said it smelled like a factory or something in the house, and by the way, all the windows were open. Don't buy this. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS STUFF. I actually started worrying it might be dangerous. That evening the smell lingered even after wiping down the counter top again! Finally this morning it has dissipated. I'm sending all 4 bottles I purchased back. I have always been a fastidious house keeper and used a lot of different products along the way. I've never smelled anything like this. Something isn't right. UPDATE: JUST READ THIS ITEM IS NOT REFUNDABLE

This cleaner actually smells of thyme. If you read the ingredients you will see that. I am not sure why they say that it's Lemongrass Citrus Scent. I love the smell anyways!It is great for clean-as-you-go because you can spray and wipe with no rinse. This is also natural, and it says that it is safe around food. I fry lot's of foods, and it works really well as a degreaser. However, I have not tried it on extremely cakes on messes (I clean too much to get those HAHAHA!).PROS:Spray and wipe, no rinsing neededSmells of thymeGreat degreaserSafe for children and animalsGreat for everyday clean-as-you-goDisinfectant, killing cold, flu, staph, e. We just don’t really like the smell but it’s a great item, dirt is gone just leaving the product for a few minutes or if not, you just need to brush/scrub lightly then the dirt is gone?

I wanted to like this product much more. I have been trying to find a better cleaner for my kitchen to replace the big brand cleaners full of chemicals, and I've enjoyed other Seventh Generation products. This actually cleans really well. The kitchen counters feel cleaner (no residue) and look cleaner (again, no residue-causing streaks). But I just can't get past the smell. It claims to be lemongrass, but I don't smell that at all. More like a burnt, dried thyme herb...? I don't know what it is, but it's not pleasant to me, and it lingers. Really wish they'd come out with a lavender scent or something else. Real bummer.The smell won't bother some people, and that's great. Just wish I was one of them.

I was so happy with my first bottle, that I ordered 3 immediately thereafter! It feels so great spraying down surfaces and not having to worry about wiping down right away, if at all. I am also using it on surfaces the puppy pees on, to not only clean, but disinfect. I did a test patch on furniture before spraying.There is a smell, and i agree you either like it or not. The scent dissipates, so I am choosing to like it because I really like how the product cleans.
