This is a great low profile Tonneau Cover for the Chevy Silverado. Fast delivery, accurate listing and operates as advertised on the BAK Industries web site. I installed this on my 2011 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab truck with a GM bed liner and rail caps. While the instructions were a bit general, I watched the videos on BAK Industries web site for the Chevy install and read some reviews on the GM-Trucks.com and silveradosierra.com for tips and insights. I was not surprised that I had to trim the bed liner at the front corners for proper fit which added a little time to the overall installation. I also installed the BakBox at the same time which I also ordered from Amazon. All-in-all, the install was simple and the cover was light enough for me to install by myself in about 2 hours. This is a very solid, versatile hard folding cover. I've had two non-fiberglass, non-folding hard covers and a soft folding cover on various trucks. While the non-folding covers where secure and water proof, I had to take them off a lot when carrying various loads. They were light enough to take off by myself, but so big and awkward, it took two people. The soft cover folded nicely (and I folded it a lot for various loads), but even though it was attached to a rigid frame, it flapped at highway speeds and leaked a lot under the heavy rains in Texas. So, I am looking forward to this cover as a cross between the others - hard enough to be secure, water resistant enough and yet fold-able enough that I won't have to take if off to use the full bed. Amazon service was great as usual with quick delivery (took 5 business days to arrive) and the had it in stock. A lot of web sites I viewed said it would take 5 business days just to ship.

I love this tonneau cover. It is extremely well made, and easy to install if you take your time. If you have a locking tailgate this cover makes your bed a secure place to store cargo. And in good old New England I don't drive around with ice and snow in my bed all winter long anymore. I sweep the snow off with a push broom as easy as pie.Only thing I would point out is that all the videos from the manufacturer show a single individual installing it, and I did do it myself alone, but it would be MUCH easier with 2 people. Mounting the bed rails is aggravating one person because their long and you are working at one end while the other end keeps trying to fall into the truck. Use some masking tape to hold them in place if you don't have an assistant. Also the cover itself is heavy and awkward for one person to lift into the bed and place and would be much easier with 2 people. And take your time aligning it once it's in place or it won't close properly. If it's aligned correctly all you need to do is flip the leaves over and their own weight will provide enough momentum to latch right into place. If it feels like it's binding at all adjust it little by little.Also the long gasket that they want you to put on top of the front bulkhead of the bed is not needed if you have a plastic or spray in bed liner that goes over the rails. The instructions do say you don't need it if you have a plastic one but doesn't mention if you have a spray on one. It left me a little uncertain if I should use it so I tried it and had to remove it which was a pain because it took putting the cover in place to realize that the cover won't sit properly with an "over the rails" liner. I think that gasket is only used if you have bed rail caps that make the top of the front bulkhead uneven with the sides.If you are installing it yourself, give yourself 2 hours. If you have a second person you can probably do it in about an hour.

I ordered this cover for my truck because the price was great and only received the rails. This is the 2nd time they messed up my order. The 1st time they sent me the entire wrong item. They will not honor the price on another one or even try and find the correct one that you purchased. Then to add insult to injury I had to call them again to get the items removed from my bill after they said that my account was credited. After all that all Amazon will say is were sorry but you can order another one at twice the amount, Really I ordered it from warehouse deals to save money if I wanted to spend more I would have bought it direct from the manufacturer. Buyer beware!!!!!. If you want the wrong item or half of you order than Amazon warehouse (not such a) deal is the place for you.

I would have given this review 5 stars had it not been for the long chain of emails that it took to get a warranty resolution cleared up. Bak Industries accused Amazon of selling a blemished product because the price was lower than most retailers. My top came with a small hole in the fiberglass caused by the tie-down D-ring. After many emails over several weeks Bak finally agreed that I bought a NEW cover and received one that was damaged. They shipped a new cover. Their online video instructions shows the installation of 8 shims in an extended cab standard box application. The cover only came with 6 shims, and the company claims 8 shims are for a long bed application. I referred them to their video with no response from them. If it wasn't for the bad experiences I would have given this product 5 stars. AMAZON, I give your price 10 stars.

The BakFlip F1 tonneau cover is an excellent quality product. Highly recommend if you are interested in any fold type hard tonneau cover for your truck. Installation was easy even for one person. Took less than 1 hour to install using simple hand tools. Gives you truck bed a nice finished appearance. I keep all my work tools and supplies in the bed of my truck... I am very pleased with how the tonneau cannot be opened without unlocking and lowering my tailgate first... I am also very please with how water tight the tonneau actually is... Had only a few drops of water during a real heavy rainstorm. I open and close my tonneau every day, so far no issues. Very pleased with my purchase. Two of my neighbors loved how the BakFlip tonneau looked and operated on my truck, that they purchased one for their trucks also. They both are very pleased... As for Amazon, A+++. Smooth transaction, great communication and super fast 2-day delivery!
