This is actually better than my stock cigarette lighter since it comes with two ports to plug your power into. You do lose a little storage space but it is worth it in the long run. Also, if this still doesn't seem to work when you plug it in, make sure to check your fuses under your steering wheel column and replace if needed.

Nobody is using cigarette lighters these days.. the tray is useful, smaller than the original config., which is fine since the OEM units had a lot of wasted space. Easy to connect, looks good after installation.. and seems to hold up pretty well.

This is one of the easiest and best upgrades I've made to my '07 4runner. This vehicle does it all for my family. Camping, overlanding, getting groceries and road trips. With my wife, 2 kids and me in the car, we have a lot of crap that needs to be charged and we were constantly running out of outlets. The smoker kit really just gives you one extra plug for things and that's been enough for us.Installation took about 5 min and all you need is a small knife or scissors and a trim removal tool. (A flat-head screwdriver would work, but may scratch your trim) I got this one  ACI 87901 Door Trim Removal Tool , but you can find a single piece option from Northern Tool for about $6, if you don't mess with your car much.I have this,  Aukey 4.8A / 24W Dual USB Car Charger Adapter for iPhone6S/6S Plus/6Plus/6,Samsung Galaxy,Google Nexus,LG,HTC,Motorola and more (The Smallest but Most Powerful Car Charger in the World) - Black , which stays in one of the charger ports all the time. I don’t smoke, but I do a lot of travel, and I need as much power as I can get while I’m on the road. The smoker’s kit is an easy mod that fit my 2007 4Runner SR5 and should work on all models within 2003-2009. It’s an actual OEM part that took 5 minutes to install. You just unclip the standard storage unit and pop this one in it’s place. There is an additional power plug that’s taped down, once you plug that in, it supplies power to the second power point and also lights it up in amber. Works flawlessly.

I needed additional usb ports without doing all types of rewiring or cutting holes into my center console. I found this fit my 2003 Toyota 4runner and it was easy to install without rewiring, since the addtional plug was already there. In addition I added an AUKEY Mini USB Cell Phone Car Aapter 24W/4.8A.

Although it says it won't fit an 03 4runner I ordered it anyways, and it fits perfect. Looks great, and its nice to have a couple of 12v outlets.
