American Baby Company Thermal Swaddle Blanket made with Organic Cotton

It was very important to me for my baby to be sleeping with organic products, but organic can be so expensive! First, I purchased an organic blanket from a specialty store online because the color matched her room. It was very expensive and not soft at all. While filling my shopping cart one day, I found this blanket. I thought, "The color isn't right, but it's so inexpensive how can I pass it up?"This blanket is so soft and I feel good about her sleeping with it. In fact, she sleeps with it, it travels with us in the car, I swaddle her up in it when I'm rocking her, and we take it with us in her stroller on brisk days. I wash it about once a week with Charlie Soap on delicate and I haven't had any problems with quality. Great product; great value!

We love these blankets. We ended up buying more of them after an initial purchase and now own five. We use them to cover our newborn whenever she needs a little extra warmth and leave them in different spots so we'll always have one ready. The blanket is made of a soft, light cotton that is somewhat elastic. The caramel color is unoffensive if not aesthetically pleasing. The blanket is very lightweight and is not suited for cold weather. We support using organic cotton whenever possible for its environmental benefits and to prevent toxic pesticides from touching our or our baby's skin, though I have not decided whether a simple washing alleviates the latter concern. We recommend this blanket and believe that it is reasonably priced given that it is organic.

My favorite baby blanket for swaddling. Perfect!We spent so much money on "swaddling blankets" but my little ninja could get out of those in seconds. I learned how to swaddle with a thermal blanket like this one and there was no looking back. Google "Super Swaddle" on Youtube and find the one using a stretchy blanket.We had several of these blankets when my daughter was a baby and they were our go to blankets for swaddling. Now, I get them for every single baby shower I go to regardless of whether or not they are registered for them. We still to this day talk about the super swaddle and these blankets (our daughter is 6).This blanket was a life saver!!

Soft lightweight thermal baby blanket! Like the one I had when I was a baby! Love that it's organic cotton but I think it was manufactured in China which is the only downside as it's the American baby company.

When I opened this up my husband exclaimed that he wished he could have a blanket this soft. We practiced swaddling with it in our newborns 101 class and can’t wait to wrap our daughter in it. I wish it came in more color options but I appreciate the organic aspect of this and imagine dyes complicate that distinction.Will likely come back to buy more.

This is so soft, comes wrapped in a cute bow so perfect to gift or add in a gift basket, I washed it before use and it's super soft it feels like it'll last many washes (some soft blankets pill but this one doesn't feel like it will. For the price I think this is really high quality. Perfect for our needs. Would repurchase for others!

This is the perfect multi-purpose blanket and the price can't be beat. Love the neutral color, the stretchiness, the size - We can use it to swaddle (as the name suggests), to cover baby when sitting in the bouncer or car seat, to wrap around baby when holding and so much more. Washed many times and holds up nicely in the wash. I've seen a lot of comments around the organic/not organic material and can't comment on it but washing in warm water prior to first use was sufficient for us to be comfortable with using it on baby.

This is a very high quality organic cotton blanket that could last you for more than one child. Even after many many washings, after almost two years, it still looks new. It is very soft and stretchy so swaddling was a breeze, though still you can manage to create a tight swaddle. More importantly, once you undone the swaddle, the blanket retained its rectangular shape. My son loved to be swaddled in this blanket when he was a baby. However, when he was around 4 months, it was little small for swaddling so we switch to aden and anais square blankets. Now we use it in summer as a stroller blanket.
