If you have a deck and kids, get this!
This is your sign to put a slide off the back of your deck for your grandbabies. I used a section at the end of the deck where I could fashion a safety gate where I could lock it to keep the babies from going down it when not supervised. Let me tell ya, they love it, even my 2 y.o. grand daughter goes down it over and over by herself. I built up a base to put under the very end of the slide with cinderblocks, to leave the bottom a bit more elevated off the ground for easy exit. The slide is not so steep that kids come flying out the end, it has a nice flattened area that slows them down at the end. Very easy to put together definitely need 2 people. Its a bit pricey but considering the price of a swing set, its not that bad, and alot more fun! Its super well made and will bring so many happy memories for years to come. I also hung swings under my deck, so the kids have a full "swing set" without the upkeep, appearance of a swing set or having to build one. Its fun for adults too we all go down it with the kids and still super stable.

The easy way to assemble the Turbo Tube Slide
This is really a great tube slide, both my boys love it, (8&10) I really like the tube slide since it makes it impossible for the boys to fall off the slide, and with a deck height of 7 feet, that was a concern. I found the slide easy to assemble and the directions were clear and had pictures. The directions state that it takes two persons to assemble the slide, and they way they have you do it, it would take at least two persons and they had better be strong and very patent. I was able to assemble the slide easily by myself, by not following the directions. The easy way is to assemble it on the ground by sections. First assemble the two halves of each section, then bolt the sections together until you have the whole tube bolted together laying on the ground. The tube is light enough that one person can roll it to reach all the bolts that need to be installed. The trick, is in the directions they tell you to align the bolt holes by forcing a screw driver through the holes to align them, great piece of advice, but of course as soon as you remove screw driver, the holes will move out of alignment before you could insert a bolt. The trick is to insert the screw driver or drift pin, (the tip of a needle nose pliers works best) and then use a vise grip pliers (a sheet metal vise grip pliers works best and doesn't leave a mark) to lock the pieces in place while you remove the drift pin and insert the bolt. That one trick makes putting the tube slide together a lot easier. Put the bolts in loose, and then tighten them once a joint has all the bolts are in place, that way, any out of alignment holes will be "forced" or enlarged in the right direction. Once the tube is together, roll it over to where it is going to go and tip it up into place. If you are working alone, you can nail a temporary block for the bottom edge to rest on, and use a brace on the tube to hold it against the tower while you climb up and screw in the screws. The slide comes with two brackets that bolt onto the last section joint, one attaches to the tower leg, the other supports the joint from below using a wooden support you have to build out of treated lumber, there is a diagram in the instructions. I made up a wooden cradle to support the last joint, so it supported the entire joint instead of just supporting two bolts on the joint. The weight limit for the slide is 350 lbs, there is a super turbo slide, that costs a lot more and has 50% thicker plastic but only has a weight limit of 375 lbs, but doesn't need the extra support brackets at the last joint. The slide is intended for use with the manufactures' wooden playsets and includes green metal brackets and screws for building the tower platform for the slide, but doesn't include the directions for building the tower. The directions apparently were included with the playset instructions. The price here at Amazon, ($425) was the best price on the web and was cheaper than what I could find in all the local stores. Update, nine years later the slide is still in great shape and my boys are now older and have mostly out grown tree forts. If the tree holds up, maybe someday another generation will rediscover it.

Nice slide once installed. Be prepared for missing hardware!
Assembling this slide is tedious and the instructions aren’t the best. As others have commented, the slide sections go together much easier if you let them heat up in the sun before and while you’re assembling. Follow what the instructions say regarding bolts - do not skip holes just to get the pieces together before installing all of the bolts. I’m impressed with the rigidness of the assembly once it’s attached to the playset and supported on the ground. I recommended not digging 3” below grade under the slide as the instructions say at first, unless you need the clearance due to deck height or grade. My biggest gripe with the product is missing hardware. I needed ~ 10 washers and lock nuts, and 2 1-1/2” bolts to complete the install. Luckily I had some on hand to use, but that’s a pretty unacceptable number of parts IMO.

2nd purchase, still great
My granddaughters highly recommend this product. We built a playhouse for our grandchildren about 4 years ago. In October of 2024 our home was hit by a tornado which damaged the playhouse. We were able to rebuild with some minor changes, of coarse with suggestions from our granddaughters. This was the second Swing-N-Slide 7 ft.Turbo Tube Slide. The first one that blew away was Blue and the new one is green. The kids still love it! I will say, the skill level is about a 6 out of 10. Mainly due to the deformity of the plastic and balancing the section while putting together. The tools I used to build this slide: Drill ¼” drill bit ½” drive socket for drill ½” wrench and/or ½” ratchet 2 magnet dishes for hardware two screw drivers, used to align the holes so it does not matter the type Wood or locking C clamps could be helpful I separated everything, the bolts went into one magnet dish, the nuts and washers in another, the panels placed in sets, the base and top mount set aside. The instructions are rather simple. I put each tube section together first which gave me 4 individual sections. That was fairly easy. Connecting the tube sections together was more challenging. This becomes more of a balancing act with each added section. I used a folding table, 4x4 blocks and 2x4 shims to help stabilize the two section I was working on. When attaching two section together, I started with putting in two bolts, one on each side (hand tight). Then put in all the bolts loosely. After all the bolts were in, I tighten with a drill, nut driver and a wrench. I found that some of the holes do not lineup. Partially because the tubes are slightly deformed (oval not round) until everything is put together. If the two holes were close to lining up, I could use a screw driver to align them and then screw the bolt in with the nut driver. This held the sections together until I could put a washer and nut on. If that did not work, I drilled out the hole. The top mounting plate and bottom section went on fairly easy. Installing the slide to the play set. I would imagine this is very different for every installation. The trick was holding everything in-place while making the connection. I cheated, using a skid loader to hold up the slide while making the attachments. Hope I don’t have to, but I would buy again.

Great Slide & Not Too Difficult to Assemble
First and foremost, I read a ton of the reviews and most of which said this thing was very difficult and annoying to put together. I took the advice of some other reviewers and did a few things to ensure I got it built in the shortest amount of time. From unboxing to kids sliding down it took my wife and I about 3.5 hours to build. We first put all the parts aside to ensure we had everything. We then assembled each individual piece of the slide; in other words we attached the top part to the bottom part for the sections of the slide. In order to make this go very quickly and easily I used a deep socket to hold the nut in place and then attached a nut driver to my impact drill and drilled the bolts tight. This saved a ton of time because if you had to do this by hand without a drill it would literally take forever. Here is where we changed the script; instead of building the slide in entirety and then lifting it up and attaching it to the swing set we attached the top piece of the slide to the swing set and then added the next piece to the first piece installed and so on and so forth. I was initially worried that this would be too much weight pulling on the pieces that were assembled but it ended up being fine and this was way easier then holding up this 80 pound slide and trying to get the pieces to line up to the circular cutout that was attached to the swing set. The slide is great and the kids love it. As far as sturdiness is concerned, I'm 6'2 and 240 pounds and I go down the slide no problem at all. I would recomend and certainly buy again. Also, one other thing to note, I bought the slide for $485 and like a week later it was $399. The price fluctuates greatly so keep your eyes peeled for good deals.

Beware
I first ordered this slide in May, and didn't fully receive it until mid-August. They shipped it four times supposedly:first time shipped it was "lost in the mail", second time it came in a destroyed box with four of the 90 sections and nothing else, third " lost in the mail" again, fourth was another destroyed box with all ten pieces of the slide, but no instructions, no hardware, and no brackets! Out of frustration, and trying to hold to a longstanding promise to my daughters on this slide, I went to Lowes and and bought the manufacturers specified hardware- an additional $130-, and I fabricated brackets from raw iron. The flanges on this slide aren't as strong as the slide so they tend to kink at the top and bottom of the slide. I think I paid around 450.00 for this slide. After the second failed shipping attempt I called anazon and was on the phone with them asking them for compensation, they offered me a $10 gift card, when I said "that's crazy", and after 32 minutes on the phone, she came back with a $20 gift card! Oh boy! I built a serious structure specifically to accommodate this slide, I couldn't go with a different slide because it wouldn't fit. So a refund wasn't an option. The fourth time I called, the lady finally offered me 20% of the cost of the slide, which didn't even cover half of the cost of the hardware. With this experience, I have a really bad taste in my mouth about Amazon's customer service, and I will never use this Amazon store again!!! Nor will I ever buy anything made by Swing-n-slide! Overall a long and agonizing experience, for myself, and my daughters!

Great slide!
I was able to put the slide together by myself in about 2 hours. I used some of the techniques listed in the comments but another method helped more. My drill and socket set helped the most. It actually helped if the screwed didn't line up perfectly cause the drill would push the screw in and it would have material to bite - pulling the material together. I had a few problem holes that were they lined up perfectly but gaped too far apart. I used the slightly longer screws that came for another step of the slide - tightened them and then replaced them with the shorter correct screws. Sometimes I would have to have the bolt spinning with the drill while holding the nut with a socket wrench and squeezing/applying pressure - the screw always found the nut. I was very careful to make sure I orientated the slide correctly - my fear was having to redo a section - just count the bolt holes. The slide is big so you need to prop it on things while working to put it together - attach the easy-accessible holes first. I was also able to move it by myself fully assembled to the playset area from my garage - hard but not impossible. Getting it on the playet is not easy and should be a 2 man job. I did it my myself using ropes and a pulley system but it was like wrestling a bear and trying to get that first bolt aligned/into the wooden structure was not easy while holding the slide. The slide is very well built and sturdy. I'm about 180 lbs and it easily supports me. So kids are no problem. I think it was a pretty good deal for what I got if for on amazon. It arrive within a week. Hope this helps :)

Decent Product
Nice slide. Good instructions, decent product, somewhat over-priced for what you get, but fairly easy to put together. Kids loved the final product. I’ve seen some posts criticizing the holes lining up. However, please understand that you’re working with plastics that may possibly expand or contact or move if you tighten the bolt and nut in a hole or two prematurely.
