What Voodoo is this ?
How have Speakman done this ? The water pressure in my apt building is akin to a 2 month infant wetting itself in it's sleep. Previously, I'd have to stand within a foot of the faucets, just to get wet.Then...I bought and installed this bad boy. Let's put it this way. After it was delivered, within 2 hours, I had taken 2 showers. The first shower was basically just staring up at the shower head whispering quietly "I love you... I love you so much..."Best $36 I've ever spent ? Oh yes. By far.

Buy this, start enjoying your showers again, thank me later.
I am not entirely sure about the build quality and how long it is going to last. I managed to remove the flow restrictor, it took some effort. I removed the filter like thing at first with a flat screwdriver and a needle nose plier and I thought that wasn't too difficult, I thought I had removed the flow restrictor out already till I peered back in and I saw the plastic thing. I tried the flat head screwdriver and pliers again but it wouldn't budge. Then I used a paper clip and a tweezer to remove the black washer like thing from the reastrictor exposing some holes in a circle. I then screwed a thin screw in , not too much just a couple of turns so it gets wedged in it and pulled the entire restrictor out like a champion. I felt like Tom Cruise for a brief second till I went to the shower and couldn't remove my old shower head. Mind you I work out thrice a week, I called my neighbor who is ten years older and 100 pounds lighter and he removed it and fixed the new one in under 3 minutes. He turned the shower on to check for leaks and there were none. He was so impressed by the force of water gushing from this shower head, he turned to face me and asked me to order one for him too. This shower head is the real deal in terms of sheer force. It makes you enjoy showers again. I don't know if removing the flow restrictor helped or not ( I doubt it , reading all the other reviews from people who probably didn't bother with it) but I fell in love with it from the first shower.

Awesome Customer Service!
No matter how much I fiddle with the position of the lever/valve that controls how much water comes out of the fine jets and how much comes out of the massage jets, I can not get the water to flow completely out of the fine jets. Some of the water dribbles out of the massage jets at a MINIMUM. This is so frustrating because it is causing me to lose water pressure out of the fine jets. Having said that, I contacted Speakman to return the unit and could not have been more impressed with the speed and courtesy of their response! They are sending me a replacement unit. No hassles. No costs. Because I have not seen a similar complaint regarding the valve in any other review, I suspect this is a very rare problem. Coupled with the outstanding customer service, and you have a 5 star experience/product in my opinion.Update: Received the replacement showerhead from Speakman in just a couple days. The new unit performs wonderfully.

Pretty decent!
The low-flow water regulations in my city have frustrated me nearly to the point of going on the black market for an “old school” showerhead. This Speakman was my last hope of staying within the law. To my astonishment, this product is actually giving me a tolerably high stream of water, even with the restrictor in place. The different settings are a bonus, but I normally just keep it on the “flood” style spray.I had initially intended to remove the restrictor valve, but the manufacturer has made that a little difficult: unlike many other showerheads, you can't just reach in the stem with some needle nose pliers and easily pull it out. For that reason, I just hooked the showerhead up as is and tried it out. Simple install, box includes the necessary Teflon tape so all you need is a wrench to tighten.

The standard for showerheads!!!
My friend has a multi-million dollar home in Florida. Every time I stayed there I couldn't help but notice his guest bathroom showerhead was TERRIBLE! One say I secretly replace it with the Speakman (I have these in all my showers so I know it's the bomb!), and one of his buddies who was there after me told my friend "that shower was amazing". Puzzled, he called me and said nobody's ever mentioned that and if I "did something" to his shower. HAHA!!!

Not quite as nice as my old one
This is a similar model to my previous one, and it's just not as good. Granted, I got this one cheaper, because it was on sale, and the regular price was lower than what I paid for the last one, but only by a little. Both are/were the 5-jet models. First-off, I only like the strong massage spray setting, and this one doesn't feel quite as strong - like thinner streams - more of a stinging than a thumping sensation, if that makes sense. Also, on that setting, there is a fair amount of scattered spray, which is why I finally replaced the old one. All of these start spraying everywhere when they get old and gunked-up. My old one was hitting my straight in my eyes all the time, so I wasn't very happy that this is doing it a little bit, right out of the box. Otherwise, the regular spray setting doesn't do this, installation was a breeze (they even include some plumber's tape!) and flow is decent, so I'm just docking it the one star.

Rusting
Ours rusted on the exterior near the front section. Contacted Speakman customer service regarding their Limited Lifetime Warranty and was told it did not apply to our issue. Very disappointing and not what we understood would be covered.

Works Great
I have been using a "rain shower" type shower head in my shower because my wife likes it so well for her shower. I don't and never have liked it so I was looking for a shower head like we had in our previous house, which I think was Water Pik brand. I liked those and this one looks similar so I ordered and installed it.Results are that I love it. It produces a more direct and forceful water spray compared to the "rain shower" kind. This shower head has several setting and works well in all of them. You couldn't take this shower head away from me.I cannot attest to its longevity as it is only a couple of months old. Recommended.

Speakman S-2005-H vs Moen “Inspire” Shower Head
I did not get paid or receive anything for this review. I personally purchased and paid for this item from amazon.ca (verified purchase). After reading all the marvellous reviews on the Speakman S-2005-H and all the other Speakman shower heads ( even the metal and brass models ) I decided I would purchase one and give it a try. Our 10 year old Moen 21777 Inspire shower head was still working absolutely fine and flawlessly but it was simply time for a newer design and for something new to look at when in the shower. Hopefully this new Speakman shower head turns out to be as “fantastic” as stated by the majority of reviewers. Both of these shower heads were equal in price and both are listed by the manufacture as 2.5 gallon per minute units. I purchase our Moen 21777 shower head many years ago and it was “Consumer Reports” number one choice in shower heads for many years. I personally always remove the water restrictor from any shower head because I prefer more water volume than water pressure. When you remove the water restrictor this usually generates more water volume and slightly less water pressure. To be clear about the two, water pressure is what you get at most car washes ( fine powerful multiple sprays ) and water volume is the amount of water that comes out of your garden hose when you don’t have a nozzle on the end of the hose. It was quick and simple ( less than a minute ) to remove the Moen water restrictor with a small common flat screwdriver and there was no damage to the restrictor and it could easily be replaced at anytime. The removal of the Speakman water restrictor took about 5 minutes and required a flat screwdriver to first remove the black rubber washer with a screen attached and I then had to use of a sharp pointed object ( pick or needle ) to remove the tiny O ring and then a pair of needle nose pliers to extract the actual plastic restrictor. Please be advised that if you attempt to remove the Speakman water restrictor you will likely cause some damage to the restrictor thus voiding any and all warranty if you were planning on returning this item. The Speakman is a much more elegant looking shower head than the Moen. Both are made of plastic and both are nicely chromed and super easy to adjust the spray and both are easy to install. Both these heads are adjustable to obtain many different spray patterns but in reality both only offer three types of sprays to choose from. Multiple fine sprays with slightly more pressure or more volume of water with less pressure than the fine sprays or you can choose a combination in between these two selections. Our town water pressure is about 80 to 90 gallons per minute. Even with the water restrictor removed the Speakman was not capable of producing the amount of water volume that I was used to or desired and produced approximately 2.5 gallon per minute with the restrictor removed. The Moen on the other hand produces about 2.75 to 3 gallons per minute with the water restrictor removed. That doesn’t sound like much of a difference but it is very noticeable when your in the shower. The Speakman also has an annoying hum that sounds identical to the tires humming from an 18 wheeler far off in the distant on some major highway late at night. The Moen on the other hand has no hum and generates the normal sound of falling water from a shower head and puts out a great volume of water with the restrictor removed than the Speakman shower head. The Moen shower head can easily generate the same water pleasure as the Speakman when you adjust or select any one of the many combinations of sprays that are available on the Moen Inspire Unit. The pulsations of the water coming from the Speakman shower head was better and far more noticeable than what was produced by the Moen shower head.Is the Speakman S-2005-H shower head as “FANTASTIC” as the reviews had stated. NO IT IS NOT . It’s just a normal 2.5 gpm plastic well designed shower head that slightly over priced by at least $20. It looks good, it functions well, it has a definite hum, and it’s simply not my choice in shower heads because it lacks the capability of producing the volume of water that I prefer. The Moen 21777 shower head ( with the restrictor removed ) is still the best shower head I have ever used or owned and is still my favourite #1 shower head. The Speakman S-2005-H shower head is just an average nice looking beautifully chromed 2.5 shower head that has a hum and is over priced and I give this product exactly what it deserves ( 4 stars ). There is simply nothing outstanding about this product to ever warrant a five star rating. I hope you enjoyed my review and it was helpful.

Good quality showerhead with easy to turn knob
Love the spray feature, with easy to turn with knob to switch between different settings. Only concern is the material is made of plastic with chrome finish and will probably fade or stain over time. Quality is reasonable at this price range. Go for brass model if want peace of mind for longetivity. Otherwise this is a good product.
