I love these gloves, the only thing I can complain about is that sometimes if the water is too hot, it makes the gloves leave that slight rubber smell on my hands so I just have to wash them after. Of course the point of gloves is to avoid washing my hands and drying them out worse than they already are, but. Also when you re-use them, the fingers kind of stick together after they've dried but it fixes itself when you put your hand in them, so I don't have a problem with that. I've used this same style for a long time and they never did that rubber smell until recently. So I don't know if Playtex got cheap or if I got bootleg gloves, but it's not a big enough deal to make me stop using them. They protect against even the hottest scalding faucet water, which is a huge plus for me. I can re-use them so many times without issue. Definitely long-lasting decent quality. They go all the way up the forearm which is also a great feature. So many gloves fall short, literally, and don't protect fully. To me, they're the best ones out there. The "Mr. Clean" gloves I tried were extremely cheap and did not protect against temperature. I recommend these ones for all washing needs. Affordable & quality.

The only dishwashing gloves I can use. I tried to buy other generic from here and the store and every time I hate them. These keep the water from running down into the gloves even without the cuff being folded. I also appreciate the lining because it allows me to get my hands in and out without assistance.And without having a panic attack like other gloves have caused. I also really appreciate how long they last. I can probably use one pair of gloves for several months before they get a tear.

I've used Playtex Living Gloves over the last 50 years or so. They have always been very good and dependable, although they have changed a bit over the years. I had always been able to find them at a store. When Safeway stopped carrying them some months back, I looked everywhere, but to no avail. I tried the best ones from CVS, and they were junk. I bought "If You Care" gloves from Whole Foods. They would have been good, but the cuffs were too short and the wrist region too snug. The sizes also tend to run small. The Safeway gloves were way too wimpy. In desperation I look at Amazon. There they were. More expensive than they were at Safeway, but price means nothing unless the product is actually for sale. The only question is whether these Amazon Playtex gloves were in "new" condition or had been in the warehouse for years. Rubber hardens and cracks over time. To my relief, they seem as good as the Safeway ones. We have previously tracked usage, and they last about one month or so. If we can get a month out of these, I would be happy to continue buying from Amazon.

This is the 3rd pair of Playtex Gloves that I've ordered and the only problem I had was the second pair got a tear at the tip of one of the fingers. Since my first pair and this one are doing well, I am going to just write it off as me cutting it accidentally with the edge of something sharp. I generally do NOT like wearing gloves when managing my kitchen and my dishes and what have you. The dish washer does a fine job often and for the pieces that don't go in there, I just quickly wash them but since I started to pay more attention to hand care and nail care, I take better care of my hands and these are the ONLY gloves I care to use. I have small to medium size hands, and while the gloves are a little big for me, I like them. I don't like tight gloves that don't let my hands breathe. I also like the feel of these gloves against my skin - as much as one can like such a thing - and also the upper portion which is nice and loose. The value and the price are both just right and they are a handy kitchen asset. My hope is that this one lasts a good long while so I don't have to buy another so soon!
