Well built laser. Green is highly visible to the eye which makes it ideal for pointers. The screw in "starry filter" makes a decent lens cap to keep dust off the laser optics.I've used similar products in the past, this one is essentially the same, with the laser driver connected directly to the laser diode. I like this model because they bypassed the small button on the driver board and instead use a standard flashlight style rear click on/click off button. The reason being that the front buttons are highly prone to early failure, and pressing hard on a flaky button pressures the driver board and eventually breaks the leads off the laser diode. This model avoids those issues. I felt I had to knock a few stars off for "sturdiness" though anyway, because there isn't a stop installed between the battery and the laser driver board. The weight of the battery may pressure the board and strain the connections between the board and laser diode. But this model appears better built than others I've had in this price range.

I saw some videos online about using a green laser beam to ward off Canadian geese. It works! Move the green dot toward (but not at) geese on the shore and they scurry back into the water. Too early to tell on battery life, but a very sturdy device. I recommend it.
