Inside pockets!
I am 5'4" and 125lbs and ordered the xs, as other reviewers said the cuts run large, which I agree with. The xs fits me great, even with a fleece jacket underneath too. It is very warm by itself though. I wanted a good jacket with an inside pocket, and this one has 2 inside pockets. Love it.

Perfect for short/slender men
I am male, 5'5", 120 lbs, and I had purchased a men's small of the same jacket, only to find myself swimming in it. I decided to return it and look at the women's version. After reading reviews, it seemed clear that, even in women's, I would require the absolute smallest size available, XS, and that just seems ridiculous to me. If I were female, I would probably be considered a slightly below average size...meaning there are a ton of women who are smaller. How, then, are they supposed to enjoy Carhartt products? I do love this jacket, it's warm, tough, and it fits me well, but I have to drop a star for the ridiculous sizing standards and the company's seeming prejudice against smaller people. This jacket is made for WOMEN, many of whom are going to be even shorter and thinner than I. They need to offer an xxs or actually make the extra small...extra small.

MUST-HAVE
This is the best jacket ever. Fits perfectly! (I'm 5'10" and wear a 4/6 and this fits perfectly but with plenty of room to wear layers underneath). It's soooo warm, and SO cute!

Love at first try.
Okay, so I tried this jacket on at Bass Pro Shop. The biggest they offered was an XL which fit but I wanted a size up incase I was wearing something thicker underneath.I love the XXL I am 5 foot 5 and 236 pounds and I carry my weight equally all over. I love the jacket. It fits very nicely and I have no complaints except which color to get next!!I bought the dark wine color which I wanted because light colors and I don't mix.

Gotta love Carhartt!
I just got this, so I can't speak to longevity, but being the Carhartt brand, I expect it to hold up well. 1st, I don't know why there are so many reviews with size and fit issues. If you read and follow the size guidelines on the post, the cost will fit perfectly. I'm 5' 7", 155lbs, with broader than average shoulders for a woman and a D cup, with a longer torso. I normally where a Med or Large, being right between them, I'm a 10 in pants and 12 in tops. Knowing I wanted to be able to layer and move easily, I got a large 12-14 coat. This was also in line with the measurements provided in their sizing. It fits perfectly, with a little room for a big sweater or hoodie under if I want. 2nd, it's great quality, well made. 3rd, it's light in weight, thin feeling, but very warm! I can't feel the wind through it at all thanks to the dense outter fabric. 4th Cut/Style, well, let's face it, this is a practical coat - you're not going to look like a cute snow bunny, but I imagine most women looking at this aren't trying to. It doesn't give you much shape from the front you can't tell boobs from belly. But, the length is great for keeping your back covered without binding your hips and I really like the cut of the back. I love the tucked in cuffs under the blunt edge sleeves, I think it looks cleaner and is very functional. There are 5 pockets, 2 inside. And I got the aqua color and I love it!

Great Jacket
Great jacket! I'm a thinblooded California native who got this jacket for traveling to Yellowstone (and we got snowed on in 24° weather) and I'm so happy I did. I ordered size medium and it fit very nicely, I'm 5'7" and 120 with a slender/long limbed build. The sleeves are about 2inches up from my wrist when holding my arms straight out from my body, but when do you really walk around with your arms sticking straight out in front of you 😉? When holding my arms naturally the sleeves are a perfect length and the cozy banded wrist part inside the sleeve means no chilling drafts coming up your sleeves. The jacket back rests just below the band of my jeans, so high to mid tailbone area. The seaming in the back panels allows for full arm motion making this jacket great for all the activities we did in addition to giving the jacket a more feminine style/look. I did not layer anything bulky underneath as that it got too tight in the shoulder/armpit area but I stayed very warm anyways. I love the inside pockets, used the zippered one to hold money/ID cards and the Velcro pocket held my huge Samsung 8+ without the phone ever feeling like it was going to fall out. The outside pockets are great for stuffing your hands into while you walk. The fleece lining is nice and didn't leave fuzz on shirts, I even wore black and didn't need a lint roller afterwards. The sleeves not being fleece lined turned out to be nice because long sleeved shirt sleeves go easily in and you're not constantly trying to pull down your shirt sleeves from the jacket sleeve hole. The only thing I'd like to recommend as a possible change is increasing the hood size, with flat hair the edge of the hood barely comes to the edge of my face and with a bun the hood barely covers my ears, and I have a petite head (like have to wear child size hats and glasses frames). Again, so happy with this jacket and I got compliments everywhere we went 😊

Great!
I really like this jacket. It's made well with good materials and is very warm. There's inside pockets which are really convenient, as well as outside pockets. It's somewhat big and I wish I would've got a size down but I'm sure it'll be okay if I were to layer clothes underneath. I would buy again. For reference: I am 5 feet 3 inches and weigh 123 pounds. This jacket is a size small.*I apologize for my dirty room.*

Remember to purchase a size smaller than you are used to in Europe. Good finish and very much liked by my daughter

Order your normal size if you are wearing layers underneath. Size down if not.
This is a very warm coat. It is a boxy fit that accommodates layers. I have a hoodie and flannel shirt from Carhartt and I took a chance and bought a medium in this jacket also. I can wear my hoodie under the jacket no problem. In athletic brands I wear a large as my shoulders and bust are my largest measurement. My bust measurement is 40 and the coat fits great in the medium. If you are not planning on wearing layers with it consider sizing down.

Awesome jacket
Great jacket - perfect for working around the ranch. Warm enough for our -30 days. This is my second one - the first one is finally too shabby to wear to town after 5 years of wearing daily from early autumn to late spring. Hardwearing, washes great and doesn't shrink which is important when you have to wash a jacket every couple of weeks. Seriously thinking of buying a 3rd one in case they decide to change the style.

Best jacket
Amazing jacket, carhartt makes the best jear for freezing cold weather. The blue colour is much more beautiful and stone coloured in real life. Short fit with a lot of arm room. Consider a size down, fits a little large. I am 5'2" 115lbs and the extra small leaves generous room for a hoodie to be warn underneath.
