So I gambled on this knowing that it fit a Saginaw style power steering pump instead of the FWD based pump w/plastic reservoir l
Although this is supposed to fit Chevrolet Suburban/Tahoes, I used this on a 1995 Buick Park Avenue with an EVO solenoid equipped power steering pump. The solenoid on my Park Avenue was leaking. GM no longer supports this vehicle, the solenoid is not available. The complete pump assembly which would include the solenoid is also not available. So I gambled on this knowing that it fit a Saginaw style power steering pump instead of the FWD based pump w/plastic reservoir like the Park Avenue had. It worked perfect! You only need the line, not the adapter for this application. No leaks, no lights even though there is a now empty EVO solenoid pigtail. Hope this helps someone out that has a leaking EVO solenoid.

Life Saver
I own a 1998 Chevy Silverado, PS pump finally went out and I purchased a replacement pump from the GM dealership. The pump worked fine, but slowly leaked continuously. Finally, I found this part, replaced the old actuator with this, and the leaks stopped.

Try this before replacing pump, hoses and gear box
I replaced my entire power steering system 4 times, even the gear box once. I had leaks from the pump and hoses every time until I found this over priced gem. Hated to spend the money but this is the culprit most of the time with this series of GM vehicles. If I were doing it again I’d start here and probably would still be using the pump, hoses and gear bos that was installed at the factory.

this part works
I have been having lane wandering steering issues with my truck for some years. I've spent lots of money chasing this issue. this part fixed the wandering in the steering of my 1997 Chevy K2500 extended cab. its a cheap if not easy fix. this is a genuine GM part. I got mine from Finley Chevrolet. this was the easiest fix for a major problem that I've ever fixed. I've read elsewhere that this part cost to much for what it is, well that's not true. as I've had ball joints replaced, control arm bushings, multiple alignment proceedures, 4 steering gears installed, so to me $65.00 and extremely fast shipping from Finley Chevy was cheap.

super easy, no leaks
This was the exact part I needed. I replaced the power steering pump in my gmc pickup, and it leaked. Burned the pump. Replaced it again. Still leaked. Determined it was the evo/whatever sensor. Couldn't find it anywhere including through GMC. Replaced the part with this, super easy, no leaks. No problems. The part came quickly. Hint: avoid taking off the pump to replace by disconnecting the pressure line, cut the plug off the sensor with a jab saw, twist right off.

Worked as Designed
I had to replace my power steering pump that was leaking and after reading about the Variable Effort Steering design in my 1999 Suburban and component failures, I installed this in place of the EVO valve/fitting. There was no noticeable difference in steering. I didn't have an EVO failure so my installation was just a precaution. I remotely hoped that it might improve my steering but I knew the looseness in the steering was more likely due to worn parts (idler arm, idler arm bracket, and pitman arm).

the part fit perfectly and solved that crazy steering issue on my 97 Sierra :)

Too expensive for a fitting but easily replaces EVO valve on a 1997 GMC C1500, make sure the relief valve and spring stay in the pump. This repair should have been covered by a recall.
