Old Fashioned Silver Dollar Jerky

When I was a little kid one of my favorite "special treats" was when I had enough money saved up to ride my bike to the liquor store and buy 4 of these for a dollar. The second I saw them on Amazon for sale, and at the price, I had to have em!!! Bought this one, one in Teriyaki flavor and Teriyaki Beef Sticks. Now every time I go in my kitchen, that favorite childhood "special treat" is just waiting for me to eat way to many! :) I've seen some comments that stated they came stale, hard as a rock. When I ate the first one, the first bite I did sort of stop mid bite and thought "this taste a little weird." Well, it was actually because they were so fresh, my palate was used to the semi or, full on stale stuff I'd been buying for over 30yrs. I ate so many the first day they came in, I ended up putting the jar I had on my kitchen countertop in the pantry because I could not walk by it without at least grabbing one...ok, at least 2...maybe 4;) Good stuff, great price. I think I may just leave a jar open for 24hrs so they do taste a little more stale just like the liquor store ones I am used to. lol

Bought these to keep by my recliner in the family room. I love to grab a few while I'm watching a game or a movie... Nice to have because it saves me running back and forth to the kitchen for snacks. These are wafers of jerky, about the size of a fifty-cent piece. I got the Teriyaki, which has a good flavor. The jerky is a bit tougher and drier than other premium brands, but not overly so. With a beverage, it's a good snack, though I avoid eating too many at a time. I've shared these with my dogs and they love them, too. I felt OK doing so, since they aren't too salty and the teriyaki flavor isn't overwhelming. I'm much more popular with them now! All-in-all, the price was decent, the size of the container was worth it, the quality is perfect for a quick snack. Perfect for what I was looking for!

Needs more flavor, and are a bit tough to chew, Was hoping these were more like the ones we had as kids but there not.

I love this product when it's good. But that is a fifty-fifty shot. It either comes delivered as dry delicious jerky OR soft wet an inedible meat. I feel bad trying to return this to amazon because i just feel like a pain. I will not be ordering this any more because at $26.00 per container, I just can't risk getting the bad jerky. There are generally two kinds of jerky, strips of meat or jerky made from ground meat. This jerky falls into the ground meat category. The flavor is great, traditional salt and pepper sort of style with a nice touch of smoke. The black pepper is on point. I was actually glad to see the usage of MSG as well, it adds a really nice savory flavor to pretty much anything. The jerky is very edible and not tough on the teeth at all, like strips can be. As far as value, jerky can be expensive, but $20ish dollars for the 13ish oz., I feel like this jerky is a steal. I'll have no problem finishing the container and returning for additional orders. Definitely looking forward to trying their other products as well.
