What I like best is that I did not need to figure out a way to hook this up. For example some mounts require hooking it into the CD holder or another specific location. I have tried others which require working with few small pieces which have been lost. I purchased this because it comes in one solid piece and simply sits on the dash board. It has been very secure. Last week I needed to slam on my breaks when a deer ran in front of my car while I was going 55 mph. I was able to miss the deer and this stayed in place amazingly well. So worth it!

Holds the phone pretty well and overall performs as advertised. The product feels like good quality and has been operational after quite some time with no break down. It is rather bulky, however, and I had a tough time finding a spot for it on my dash…so no linger in use.

This is the greatest invention ever! My windshield is so far forward, that I was really dreading having to put the suction holder on it all the time, plus I didn't want the added "circle" permanently stuck on the glass. I have a dash mat, on my dash and wasn't sure if this would set still on it, but it does. It holds the GPS firmly and it's heavy enough that it doesn't move at all. I also like the fact, that I can see out of the whole windshield, if I put the mount closer towards me, on the dash. All-in-all, this is a great product.

I like the functionality, but Im not excited about the peal-off sticky part that is suppose to hold it to the dash. It seems too sticky so I am afraid to peal it off thinking it will leave a sticky residue on my dash.

I had to return this because it was just way too big and bulky. Although it securely held the GPS, it was hard to open and definitely could not be done with one hand while driving. It was just too big and seemed to consume a big portion of the dashboard, even when not in use.

item was shipped as stated it does hold the gps in place, which I am very happy with... I am not happy with the product. I feel the bean bag is over stuff it rolls around on the dash, it should have less beans in the bag and have ear flaps (something like the garmin portable i purchased) to fit any type of curve dash.

I like that it is heavy enough to sit on my dashboard without even using the adhesive tape piece provided. My Garmin Drive Smart 60 fits perfectly and is plenty tight because of the Hippo's strong spring. I first tried it out in a rental car this past week after a plane trip. Another reviewer tipped me off about the difficulty getting through TSA easily with the Hippo. Even though I was TSA Pre-Checked, I discovered that if I left it in my bag the TSA officer wanted me to open my bag. But if I took it out of the bag and put it in the bowl - they knew exactly what it was and had no problem with it. Can't imagine using my Garmin now without my "Hippo".

Works great and it's versatile for different GPS's. The only thing I need to experiment with is whether the item is heavy enough to avoid sliding down the dash board if you took a sharp turn. So far it hasn't but because it's not glued (which I really don't like to do so I guess I have to take the good with the bad because I can't have it both ways), there's always a chance it may slide off the dash board. Other than that, it a good piece to have since I can use it with various models. Most cars have GPS's installed them already but I didn't want to spend $400 on something when I have a mobile GPS already in my possession. This clamp is cheaper than spending $400! I would recommend the GPS holder.
