This blade has good weight of metal. The triblade design helps with penitrating meats to apply seasoning. Blunt end can be used to tenderize meat.Good all around knife but other knives better for slicing. Great durability and fits my hand well.

There is a fairly recent review that noted that this item is smaller than expected, I decided to ignore that review and order anyway thinking how bad could it be. Don't do it. Circumference at its largest point is less than 2 inches.Mine's going back.I will say though this thing is solid as a rock, but so is a rod of steel.

It's much smaller than expected, especially the handle. And it arrived already rusting.
