I like buying spices on Amazon. Quite a big choice. They are always fresh and the quality is perfect.

Hard to find spice smells and tasts good - worth the purchase. Then I went to Armenia and brought some back smelled and taste the same.

I’ve been using mahlab in our Easter cookies for years and have always used Mideast or Ziyad brands because that’s what my mom used. I was in a bind and bought this brand because it would arrive soonest and I ABSOLUTELY REGRET IT. It does not have the distinct smell or flavor of mahlab, which is the whole purpose of the ingredient. It almost seems to be mixed with walnuts? It doesn’t smell right at all. I was sorely disappointed because now I can’t bake our Easter cookies until AFTER Easter when my other orders will arrive 🤦🏽‍♀️ but it would be a waste of time and other ingredients to use this one at all. Beware, it can not be returned so don’t waste your money!

This is my first time buying and tasting this spice and it is so so lovely and delicious and elevates my baking. I use it as a secret ingredient in my shortbread and nut based cakes. Beautful - the flavor really comes through. It is that "mmm tastes so good but can't pinpoint why"!

I used this product to make arras, a holiday bread in Syria. The bread came out as usual except for the aroma I am used to. I will add extra for next batch to see if that works better. Otherwise, the product seemed fresh, clean, well grounded and the expected aroma was faint.
