Great biking beanie for around/below freezing
This has been the perfect hat to wear under my helmet in winter. I had been struggling to find a beanie that didn't result in my head being soaked after a 30 minute ride. I use it between 15 and 35 degrees which is standard winter temperature where I am. I tend to run very hot so for many people I would add 10 degrees to that range. Very thin and surprisingly warm but quite breathable so once you get up to speed your head stays a pretty good temperature with a very slight breeze blowing through it.The fit is perfect for me. I have a relatively large head, on the lower end of requiring extra-large helmits. If you have a very large head I don't think this would stretch to accommodate you. It goes far enough down the sides of my head to just barely completely cover my ears.I didn't have any problem removing the tag to make it reversable. The tag easily ripped off the stitching with no damage. I can see why cutting the stitches could be risky because it is sewn on at the seam using the same color thread (if not the exact same stitch) as the seam itself. I believe the manufacturer said somewhere on this page that you could cut the stitches but I really think they should make the stitches for the tag a different color than the stitches for the seam. Doing so would make it clear what you needed to cut to remove the tag.

Just what I have been looking for
This hat is perfect - very lightweight but keeps you warm. I even throw it on in the house if its a little chilly and I don't want to turn the heat up. Also fits nicely under a bike helmet and unlike others I have it is not soaking wet when I take it off.

Snug fit but warm
I have a medium size head and this beanie fits snug. Might be too tight for larger heads. The cap comes to my ear lobes and could be a little longer. After wearing for an extended time my ears are a little sore due to the snug fit. Otherwise a great hat and very warm and should fit nicely under a helmet

One of the best beanies
I’ve had this style of hat for 10+ years that I still wear. It’s holy and warn so I just purchased another; but I’m never seen without it on once the weather turns.

Basically a wave cap
My wife said it looked like a wave cap. As that wasn’t the look I was aiming for, it’s going back unfortunately. I was looking forward to have a nice, wool, thin, and lightweight cap.

Just ok - very small
This hat is cool, very lightweight. But it’s very small. Did not cover my husbands ears. It’s more for a fashion statement than warmth. That said He loved wearing it until I washed it and it got smaller. Now we have it to our 8 yr old.

IT IS REVERSIBLE!!!
IT IS REVERSIBLE!!!After wearing these for the past decades, I don’t have $30+ to burn, so ruining my new Icebreaker Beanie when I need to wear it tomorrow was not an option. Inspired by ONE comment that this cap IS REVERSIBLE, I inspected the tags closely, which apparently all those complaining the cap isn’t reversible never bothered to do!. Bingo! I noticed a row of dots along the top! Opting not to cut the tag there I took the other reviewer’s advice- I pulled them. Voila! Reversible cap!Now DON’T blame me if you blow it, but I’m not especially talented at this and it worked for me on the first try, so here’s what I did. I make NO GUARANTEE it will work for you!1- I took ONE TAG AT A TIME.2- I pressed REALLY, REALLY hard on the corner of the fabric where it meets the tag to minimize the pressure on the cap fabric and the threads.3- I pulled on the SINGLE TAG, gently increasing the pressure until it came right off!4- Repeat on EACH tag until they’re all gone.On may cap, at least, I defy anyone to tell where the tags were. There is ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE to the cap.PLEASE reread these instructions a few times before trying this. I don’t have three hands, so I couldn’t take a pic of my pressing the cap and pulling the tag.Good luck and hope that helps. Yes, Icebreaker should include instructions on how to remove the tags- so there may be another, “official” way. They don’t.Pic 1- My Beanie as I got it with the tags attached.Pic 2- Close inspection reveals a row of dots. Note- it DOESN’T SHOW A SCISSORS!Pic 3- All the tags removedPic 4- My Beanie after removing all the tags- Where were they? See any damage?Pic 5- My finger pointing to the seam where the tags were. Now, I want another one so I can wash one, wear one. Hey, Icebreaker how about gifting me one for my time and the help I just gave you!
